Kids’ toy baskets are usually filled with the odd strange item – leftover bits of food, things stolen from siblings … but what one Queensland mum was shocked to find a potentially deadly creature in her daughter’s toy stash.
The mum and her kids were choosing toys to play with when they made a shocking discovery … a highly venomous red bellied black snake.
The family called on Stuart McKenzie from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers to deal with the frightening find.
Stuart then uploaded his encounter to social media, showing how the snake was tucked in among the toys, barely visible.
“Highly venomous snake within the kids toys, not a situation you want to be in – that’s for sure! This is one of the WILDEST jobs we have done!”
The kids watched the snake catcher at work from outside, while Stuart marvelled at the size of the snake. “That is insane,” he exclaimed.
“In amongst all the dolls. That’s so scary. My goodness this is a big snake.”
Stuart is no stranger to being in front of the camera, starring in the National Geographic series Aussie Snake Wranglers.
