Socialite and former SAS Australia reality star Brynne Edelsten has introduced her baby girl to the world, and shared her adorable name.

The 39-year-old has revealed her little girl’s name is Starr Amari Gordon. ‘Gordon’ is Brynne’s maiden name.

“I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since Starr arrived,” Brynne told New Idea. “But I wouldn’t trade being a mum for anything – I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”

Brynne welcomed her first child just a few weeks ago, saying she wasn’t sure how she’d cope as a mum.

“I didn’t think I had any maternal instinct. Even while pregnant, I couldn’t quite believe it was happening, but as soon as she arrived, we bonded and it all felt very natural.

“I can tell she’s going to be very strong-willed. She’s always wriggling around and doesn’t want to be dressed in what I put her in.”

The bombshell blonde, who was once married to millionaire Geoffrey Edelsten, announced her pregnancy in December last year, saying her little one is a ‘miracle’.

“Miracles do happen & each is another day closer to meeting the love of my life,” Brynne wrote on Instagram.

Brynne was last romantically linked to Brok Eastwood. In a previous interview with New Idea, she described Brok as ‘the one’, and wanted to have children with him.

“When I was with Geoff, the doctors said maybe I can have kids, maybe I can’t. Brok told me: ‘I really hope you can have kids. But at the same time, he said: ‘If you can’t, that’s OK too.’ If it happens, it happens, and I would love that more than anything.” However, Brynne told New Idea that she plans to raise her daughter alone.

“There’s no man in the picture. I told the father, though. I would never keep the father of my child apart – I don’t think that’s ever going to be something that happens. I told him I was happy to raise (the baby) alone, so I’m not sure what he’ll want to do. I just see my baby as a blessing – I’m really happy about it.”

She says while she’s not planning on revealing the identity of Starr’s dad and he won’t be part of her life, he has met his daughter twice. 

“She doesn’t look like me at all, but is the spitting image of her father. I’m still not sure what role he will have, but we’ve met up and he took us out to dinner and spent some time together, which was really nice.”

The new mum has previously revealed that she and her ex-husband Geoffrey Edelsten never consummated their marriage. “In the beginning, I assumed we were waiting for marriage, but then it didn’t happen. I thought maybe it was all the medication he was on… then after so long you kind of forget about it,” she explained.

Brynne was married to Geoffrey from 2009 to 2014, with the 78-year-old businessman dying in June last year.

The socialite quit her appearance on SAS Australia after just six hours, after struggling to keep up with the physicality of the show.
