Real Recipes has been designed to be filled with recipes that have been tried and tested by you – the real mums who are cooking and baking for their families everyday!

Real Recipes is the place where we’d love you to share your favourite recipes so that your recipes can inspire other mums.

As promised, weekly we feature the MOST LOVED RECIPES… and every now and then, we have some very special prize for the recipes who receive the most ❤ from other mums.

  • Smashed garlic potatoes
    Parboil red chat potatoes till soft in skins
    Place on pre heated baking tray drizzle with olive oil, season with pinch salt, pepper fresh or dried herbs and finely chopped garlic
    Bake till crisy (15 – 20 min) @ 180 c add fresh grated Parmesan cheese and put back in oven till melted
    Eat as snack, accompyment or as a quick tasty meal with salad

  • Sweet potato with bean ratatouille

    4 medium sweet potatoes, scrubbed
    2 cups chopped button mushrooms
    1 zucchini, diced
    2 teaspoons reduced-fat table spread
    2 x 425g cans Mexican beans
    4 tomatoes, chopped
    ½ cup grated reduced-fat cheese
    4 cups mesclun salad
    2 tablespoons vinaigrette

    1 Prick sweet potato with a fork. Place in a microwave-proof dish and microwave on high for 15–20 minutes, or until cooked.
    2 Make ratatouille: put mushrooms and zucchini in a microwave-proof bowl. Add table spread, cover bowl and microwave for 2–3 minutes. Add beans and tomato to mushroom–zucchini mixture. Stir well and microwave for 2 more minutes, or until heated through.
    3 Spoon ratatouille on top of each sweet potato, then sprinkle with cheese. Drizzle vinaigrette over mesclun salad. Serve ratatouille-topped potato with salad.

  • Pear, fetta and pine-nut salad

    1 x bag mixed rocket leaves/baby spinach
    fetta, cut into small cubes
    1 Pear (firm, sliced)
    Toasted pinenuts

    Throw into a bowl, dress with even amounts of olive oil, balsamic, a little garlic and a smidge of mustard!
    delish!


  • Mine meat balls with chopped onion and soy sauce make into meat balls cook them basting them with extra soy sauce.. i use jasmine rice to serve on top of iceburg lettuce with meat balls on top and pour extra sauce from pan on top of the mrat balls.. i would include a picture but it wont load its delicious!!
