 Nick Langtree has lived reclusively on his farm, Winters Hill, ever since the tragic death of his wife. On the occasional trip into nearby White Gum Creek he keeps to himself and that’s the way he likes it.   • Woolworths fruit buns otherwise currently known as fruit hot cross buns. A bun smeared with butter, heated up with a cup of tea. It hits the spot and fills me up.
    A close second is beef stew with dumplings. It reminds me of my childhood at nan and pops.


  • A roast dinner because it reminds me of my Mum but if that’s not on hand good old chocolate fills in fine.


  • Potatoes in any shape or form – its super delicious, easy to prep and humbling.


  • My all time fav would have to be spaghetti bolagnaise. Easy, simple traditional but when served hot with cheese in too it’s always good for the soul.


  • My comfort food is very simple – its either a simple vegetable soup or a bowl of wedges depending on my mood. I guess that is the point of comfort food though!


  • I love fresh berries and ice cream – and these days of year round berry production has made my comfort food available for so much longer.


  • Smoothies of any kind especially ones with ice cream in them as I love sweet things I love ice cream so I fool myself by adding fresh fruit to them and it makes Feal relaxed knowing I’m having something healthy. In my mind I forget about the ice cream I’ve added and the honey. I sit in my chair with my favorite guilty free snack.


  • My comfort food is lasagne. I love making it for family gatherings , everybody loves it and it brings us together


  • Banana sandwich. Quick energy hit, delicious, easy to make and reminds me of every single school lunch I ever had.


  • Light salted popcorn as i have it every saturday night


  • Fish and chips. Because its fatty, salty and naughty. Its a once in a while food to spoil myself feel great when eating it remorseful when finished.


  • Worse luck my favourite comfort food is chocolate only trouble is it shows in my weight fluctuation.
    When I feel down I crave something sweet so head straight for the nearest Chocolate


  • Warming Winter comfort food.. Stews, Casseroles, Slow Cooking, Soups..and warming Winter desserts.. Yum, very comforting..


  • I love cakes. I have a weak stomach but never felt sick after any cake ….


  • I have to be honest who doesnt love potoatoes o gratin with a topping of cheese and bacon the flavours combined are a match made in heaven


  • Dark chocolate. Delicious, full of antioxidants and it really helps me relax!! 🙂
