  • We are camping out tonight (the 30th November).. I cooked a roast in a pot in the ground for dinner… It was amazing..


  • Pizza Damper;
    the Saturday night special.
    Using up mostly the weeks leftovers.
    Sadly no damper tonight due to heavy rain.


  • Mini sausages always taste delicious on a mini bbq!


  • A mixed grill on the Weber Q works a treat. Wish I was camping out tonight but I might scare the local wildlife!


  • Spuds wrapped in foil and baked in the coals… the kids think it’s Xmas.


  • Tin spaghetti and cheese toasted jaffles over a fire! Delicious!


  • Toasted marshmallows, it wouldn’t be camping without them. No camping for us until December 13..


  • Individual small servings of roast wrapped up really well in foil – put deep into the ashes of a burnt out fire then re-light fire – Camp-tastic! (Tip: Don’t forget to retrieve!)

    No camp – grandkids sick..


  • Banana in the skin, split with chocolate and mini marshmallows in the middle, wrapped in foil cooked over the fire! I wish i was camping this weekend, but not lucky enough!


  • My husband loves to cook a hearty stew, as long as he’s cooking I just say Okay.


  • Toasted marshmallows, our camping specialty.


  • Campfire fry up – bacon, potatoes and onion. Easy and scrummy. Not camping yet as children not on holidays and I’m a school run mummy!


  • I love to cook cocca cola ribs when we are camping and unfortunately I cannot camp this weekend


  • Sausages just GO with camping. We’ll be cooking them when camping out in the backyard for a safe trial run with the little ones.


  • Love letting the kids make some damper and throw the potatoes wrapped in foil into the fire pit.


  • I love to prepare the grilled sausages with bacon and cheese that my kids love and of course some marshmallows and we are camping in our YArd just for fun with some friends of my son that are sleeping over this 30 of novemeber


  • A traditional damper served hot with a generous smear of butter and vegemite…. I’m drooling now! We are not camping on the 30th unfortunately but I wish we were… that would be inTENTS!


  • Scrambled egg in your ‘all-purpose’ cooking tin – GREAT smokey flavours – even better when something else previously cooked in same tin! Camp-out postponed unfortunately.


  • good ol’ damper. nice traditional camping food. We’ll be camping if the weather holds well.


  • CHESTNUTS,love roasting them on an open fire,they snap and pop to everyone’s delight,and soooo tasty,try them and you will agree!
