  • spicy food can give the baby a short temper!

  • Having to eat for two, made the mistake once and now I really eating sensible.

  • I was told that if you craved strawberries when pregnant that the baby will have a strawberry birthmark! Mind you, I craved tomato soup and he had red hair!

  • Consume ghee in copious amounts, supposedly because ghee lubricates the birth canal, thus facilitating easy labor and delivery. In reality the only result is it makes you put on an excessive amount of weight!

  • Don’t eat nuts,
The baby will develop an allergy.
    Don’t eat ham
Bacteria will affect the baby’s development.
Don’t eat hot and spicy food.
    The baby will become restless.

  • If you eat to much hot chilli your babys bottom will be red and they will always have ‘ants in their pants’ and will find it difficult to sit still as toddlers.

  • That eating a banana before bed will help with muscle cramps….nope I just got even worse heartburn from eating before bed!

  • Craving potato chips, pretzels, and popcorn means it’s a boy and craving sweet means you’re having a girl. But craving both your having twins! Well I definitely craved both and no twins! The other one must still be in there all these years later. Would sure explain my weight gain!!

  • Eating seafood during pregnancy will cause my baby to suffer from skin rashes and other skin problems.

  • Preserved, canned and frozen foods are not safe during pregnancy. And I need to eat twice the usual amount of food during pregnancy

  • The biggest myth i heard which im sure everyone has heard was the strange food craving’s and strange food combinations like pickles and ice cream. I had none of those it was business as usual it was a good thing i guess you could say.

  • While there may have been days when I felt so hungry I could eat a horse, the idea that I should ‘eat for two’ is, alas, FALSE.

  • That you can’t eat ham!!

  • That I would crave pickles and icecream. Oh come onnnnnn!!! I’m sure that’s a myth (I craved chalk by the way) !!

  • That eating Corn and Blueberries will help you conceive a girl!

  • Not food as such, but the old lady next door told me not to drink too much water or the baby will drown??

  • Not food as such, but the old lady next door told me not to drink too much water or the baby will drown lol

  • I heard that if you crave sweet foods you will be having a girl and if you crave savoury foods you would have a boy. I laughed because I craved sweet rice pudding and pears with my son and meat/protein rich foods with my daughter.

  • If you eat chocolate when your in labour you will give birth to a happy baby.

  • This is my first baby so of course everyone I know has an opinion, particularly because it’s a difficult pregnancy. The worst pregnancy food myth I’ve heard is that eating nuts while pregnant will cause my little one to have a nut allergy… yeah right!!
