Dreambaby®’s retractable safety gate continues to win awards and rave reviews for it’s clever design that saves on space and clutter.

It is also a runaway best-seller proving popular with both parents and dog owners who understand the need to protect small children and pets and also to keep them separated unless heavily supervised by adults.

A past winner of the of the iParenting Media Award www.ptpamedia.com and a recent recipient of the Seal of Approval from The Family Review Centre: (http://www.familyreviewcenter.com/reviews/display.php?display=2797) as well as numerous recommendations from Australia’s leading parenting media and blogger community, the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate has been welcomed by experts and parents alike.

Designed to fit doorways and stairways (with openings of up to 140cm), it is made with a sturdy and durable mesh barrier that winds back onto itself on the side when not is use, saving valuable space. The retraction feature also makes it easier for parents and other adults to pass on the stairs and through rooms cutting down on any tripping hazards. This gate also comes with two sets of fittings so the one gate can be used in two separate places as needed.

“This is a very popular gate,” said Carolyn Ziegler co-founder of Dreambaby® and Product Development Director for the brand. “In addition to being a top seller with parents across Australia and the US it is also popular with dog owners who want to keep their pets safe. Installing the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate is also a good way of keeping small children and dogs separated. Small children can unwittingly antagonise dogs by being over friendly and grabbing ears and fur which can lead to unfortunate repercussions including bites and frightening barking.”

The Dreambaby® Retractable Gates are UV-protected, and made with galvanized hardware, which allows the gates to be used indoors (in rooms, doorways, hallways, stairs and more) and also outside (on decks, patios and porches) in most outdoor conditions. The gate also complies with standards ASTM F1004-07.

The Dreambaby® Retractable Gate has a RRP of $94.95. To find out more about this gate, visit the Dreambaby® web site at www.dreambaby.com.au or call (02) 9386 4000 or in New Zealand, call (09) 274 8788. • Our house isn’t childproof,
we have no small children living here,
but when we have friends with littlies over,
it would be nice to know they are safe!

  • An old house with lots of odd sized doors makes it really hard to find gates that fit. The Dreambaby Retractable Gate would be absolutley perfect, keeping bub safe and me sane!!!!!

  • I would love one for the kitchen! My 7 mnth old is so curious she loves crawling into the kitchen!Need to keep her safe!

  • Would love to win this. I have an extremely curious nosy 15 month old and some rooms are not safe for her to go into due to electrical equipment etc this would be great to keep her out and safe

  • To make way for my second baby due in next month, my little toddler has graduated to a single bed and unfortunately keeping her in it is not as easy as the cot. A Dreambaby retractable gate would be awesome to fit in the doorway of her room.

  • When I was in preschool, I fell down the stairs from 2nd floor to the 1st floor and I broke my shoulder. Due to this experience, I’m very careful with my child and I don’t want him to experience what I did. This Dreambaby gates would allow my son to freely move around in a safe area.

  • I need a Dream Baby in my home because of my darling, but mischievous son Connor. Here is his basic outlook:

Cool, the kitchen draws slide, whoops I hurt my fingers.
Oven light is pretty, I really like the way it shines. Maybe it wants to play.
New and exciting things to touch and play with, even if I’m not supposed to.
No is not a word I handle well.
Open fridges are fun to try to climb into, even though people don’t like being tripped over very much.
Really big now is me, I am so close to walking. That means I can play with even more things. Help keep me safe from harm out of our awkward angled kitchen.

  • I’d love to have peace of mind & give my new dream baby retractable gate to my In-laws. Their house has stairs & my 17 month old loves to climb. Help ; p

  • Ash because I just found 10 rolls of toilet paper in the toilet… The joys of being a mummy!

  • I’m now a full time carer
I so desperately need to win..
    This awesome Retractable Dreambaby gate,
    To keep my munchkin in.

Instead of finding all the things,
    That she is not allowed..
She’ll be inside her own special place,
Then I will cheer YIPPEE, out loud.

  • Need a new gate as old one has seen its last days, and won’t be long until bub no. 3 is up and going.

  • This gate would be fantastic in our house as none of the living area doorways are a normal size!

  • how to teach a 15 month old an oven is hot? id love this to block the kitchen so she doesnt come in while we are cooking 🙂

  • Little Miss #2 is getting into everything, as soon as the bathroom door is open she crawls down the hallway like a flash of lightning. I need a solution to block her out of the hallway and stop her from getting into the bathroom and touching the night light.

  • I would love one to block off the kitchen area since we have open plan and this would fit perfect were as no other product on the market

  • We have a step going down into the laundry which for a new baby will soon be a real concern! So a gate would be fantastic especially when they can climb over it!

  • I live in a double story house and would love this retractable gate to use on the staircase. The current gate I use closes off a whole part of the house as it swing and not suitable for the staircare. Would be nice if my children had more freedom to roam the downstairs and only have the staircase blocked.

  • Would love to keep kiddies away from the office the amount of time I find out 2 yr old scribbling on thing is driving me bonkers

  • When I have A Shower during the Day I close my Bedroom door but there is no door from Ensuite/Bedroom and My Son likes to try and Come in the Shower with me and then get out which makes Showering very Difficult.

  • This would be great in our home to be able to let the fresh air into the house and not have to worry about the dog coming in our baby going out
