Dreambaby®’s retractable safety gate continues to win awards and rave reviews for it’s clever design that saves on space and clutter.

It is also a runaway best-seller proving popular with both parents and dog owners who understand the need to protect small children and pets and also to keep them separated unless heavily supervised by adults.

A past winner of the of the iParenting Media Award www.ptpamedia.com and a recent recipient of the Seal of Approval from The Family Review Centre: (http://www.familyreviewcenter.com/reviews/display.php?display=2797) as well as numerous recommendations from Australia’s leading parenting media and blogger community, the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate has been welcomed by experts and parents alike.

Designed to fit doorways and stairways (with openings of up to 140cm), it is made with a sturdy and durable mesh barrier that winds back onto itself on the side when not is use, saving valuable space. The retraction feature also makes it easier for parents and other adults to pass on the stairs and through rooms cutting down on any tripping hazards. This gate also comes with two sets of fittings so the one gate can be used in two separate places as needed.

“This is a very popular gate,” said Carolyn Ziegler co-founder of Dreambaby® and Product Development Director for the brand. “In addition to being a top seller with parents across Australia and the US it is also popular with dog owners who want to keep their pets safe. Installing the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate is also a good way of keeping small children and dogs separated. Small children can unwittingly antagonise dogs by being over friendly and grabbing ears and fur which can lead to unfortunate repercussions including bites and frightening barking.”

The Dreambaby® Retractable Gates are UV-protected, and made with galvanized hardware, which allows the gates to be used indoors (in rooms, doorways, hallways, stairs and more) and also outside (on decks, patios and porches) in most outdoor conditions. The gate also complies with standards ASTM F1004-07.

The Dreambaby® Retractable Gate has a RRP of $94.95. To find out more about this gate, visit the Dreambaby® web site at www.dreambaby.com.au or call (02) 9386 4000 or in New Zealand, call (09) 274 8788. • This gate would be fantastic i could lock my husband in the kitchen! Or keep my baby belle out of the cerial boxes in the kitchen!

  • Little kids are always curious. They like poking and touching everything they see and frankyl there is no place in the house that’s absolutely safe for them. But as parents, we all have so to do that keeping an eye on them 24/7 is almost an impossible task. The Dream Baby retractable gate in an ingenious solution to this problem. I can take it with me wherever i go, as it is customisable to increase in height or width depending on the layout of my home. This means, i can have bub at close proximity and yet be sure that she is always safe. Thanks

  • Would be great to have in our new home as our mischievous little 16mth old baby keeps opening all the cupboards in the kitchen and pulling all the pots and pans out!

  • I need gates so my husband has some chance of understanding where our son can’t go.

  • My sister is about to have a baby and has the scariest set of wooden stairs you have ever seen. This would be the best gift ever!

  • I have so many neices and nephews that now have babies making me a great aunty, my house have steep stairs going down it would be great to have a dreambaby to block them off!

  • Would be wonderful for my nearly crawling 6 month old and I would be the first of my friends to have one I can ‘shoe off’.

  • New house and 1 yr loves the kitchen, especially the opening the oven door. This will be a life saver as old gate doesn’t fit!

  • I have 4 flights of stairs in my house, requiring 8 safety gates in total! I love that the Dreambaby retractable gate has 2 fittings so the gate can be moved and used elsewhere. Great feature!

  • as I have a 6mth old he is starting to walk so these will come in handy

  • My 6 months is too strong, I have an old gate from the first child and I used that, 15 mins later he pulled down that. Maybe the gate is not safe enough… So I would like to try different one

  • Having a child who is constantly by my side, I’m always having to hop around and not step on little fingers. Dream baby would mean I could have bubs happily playing but with the safety of knowing he can’t hurt himself, what every mother wishes for!

  • I’d love to win a Dreambaby gate, it looks much safer then some of the other gates and maybe not being able to see through the gate would be a good thing and stop toddlers trying to push it down or open it.

  • Our daughter will be crawling later this year. As we will be moving house, it would be great to have a gate that we could be confident will fit into whatever doorway we need it too!

  • I think a retractable gate would be bloody handy, I have the wooden ones but they are so hard to step over and it is scary seeing your little one trying to climb up it to get over it just like mum. She is a beautiful little girl but can be very scary at dinner or baking time always trying to help and be a sticky beak it worries me she will get burnt and having a baby that wont be that long before trying to follow her big sister around it sounds like it could be a god sent gate.

  • My little one has just started getting on the move, and now we are finding out all the places she can get to, and can not keep up with the gates needed. So would love one to put near the kitchen that is easy to get through.

  • My boys have been complaing that they can not play lego or with other toys in there room becuas of there little sister, and if they close the door she has worked out how to run at it and it will open, so this would be awesome for them.

  • Would love to win with a toddler who get into everything it would be amazing to block off the kitchen area so she don’t get bunt agaib

  • Wow! What an innovation in baby gates! My bub is just starting to crawl and it is an exciting and scary time for me, I need these gates to keep bub safe in my home. He certainly does keep me on my toes!!

  • I need this to keep my soon to be born bubby out of my home gym where I have heavy weights and lots of moving parts on equipment – the entrance to my gym is right near our lounge and dining area! And those hanging shell curtains would be an awful choking hazard for a small child 🙁
