  • I don’t know if I have, but I am sure I did, for I a put a gift under the giving tree, just a little something for someone I don’t know. I hope that it put that little smile and let them know that people do care.

  • In the words of my 9 year old son “by being my mother, looking after me and teaching me how to live and do it politely and properly so I can grow up to be an independent person”

  • I have helped the sick for 34 yrs as a nurse so there have been so many times I have held someone’s hand in need The smile on there faces makes me real appreciated and this lets me know I have made someone happy if only for a short while.

  • I was shopping the Boxing Day sales and was standing in line for the bathroom – quite a long wait. I let a mum with a little girl in ahead of me. They were happy!

  • I’d like to take Harley, aged 8 to see this adopted marmalade sandwich eating bear. To join the irresistible Brown family and plus a whole new cast of heroes and villains. We went tot he first movie but Harlan suffers from anxiety and was frightened of Nicole Kidman’s character. He is older now and quite the Paddington fan. What a gift this would be this little boy. We’ve spent quite a bit of time working on his confidence so he can be happy.

  • Playing monopoly with my 4-year old

  • I made someone happy by giving them my tickets to see a show and baby sitting for them which would make Aunt Lucy proud.

  • Two little girls and their parents came into my police station this morning just to say hi to a police officer. I asked them some questions about themselves and then offered them some Christmas treats we still have under the tree here in the office. They both walked out beaming!

  • I saved all the fatty chicken skin for the dog, that made my thighs happy and his tummy!

  • It’s only small to us but as a family, we feed the homeless every Sunday evening and means so much to the rough sleepers.

  • After winning tickets to ABBA, I discovered that I had a previous engagement.
I was so wanted to attend, the tickets were heaven sent.
I sorrowfully decided I needed to give them away,
To a friend, to make their day.

  • I ate the horrendously burnt ‘breakfast in bed’ made by the kids, … despite the fact I HATE eating first thing AND crumbs in the bed!

  • I like so randomly shout a coffee to the next person in line behind me. Brightens someone’s day a little :)

  • I made by baby happy with some blocks for Christmas!

  • I can tell when people need a hug and I’m happy to oblige

  • At Christmas I bake mince pies for my Nan and the other ladies in her room at the nursing home.
I can not stand mince pies.. but I know that these ladies love them.
It reminds them of their childhood.

  • Have family friends with seven children and I sewed seven different zip pouches for each of the children. They were delighted and their mum treasured hers with cute cat motifs

  • I recently won a family pass to Dreamworld and as I am a single mum with a toddler, I was able to take my best friend and her 2 children (the little boy is autistic) to meet their idols The Wiggles.. It was a very special day!

  • Help people whenever they need it whether it be family, friends or unknown… a little kindness spreads a lot of joy!

  • Every Christmas my children and I will donate a gift to the Wishing Tree hoping it will bring a little smile to kids who are less previlege.
