Doesn’t this sound like a DELICIOUS prize, we have 5 Mayver’s Winter Warmer Packs to give to our lucky members.

Keeping your children protected from the winter nasties can be a challenge for any parent especially when the flu bugs seem to be making the rounds amongst our local communities.

So, to help keep Mouth of Mums’ families toasty and healthy this winter, Mayver’s is giving away five winter warmer prize packs valued at $100 each.

Whether your family enjoys a warming porridge swirled with peanut butter and blueberries in the morning or a hearty curry packed with vegetables in the evening, adding nuts or mixing a 100% natural nut spread like Mayver’s through a wholesome recipe is one of the best ways to boost you and your family’s immune system during winter.

Leading dietitian, Susie Burrell says that eating a variety of foods that help to optimise immunity such as ginger, garlic, broccoli, oranges, berries, nuts and yoghurt that contains live cultures is essential for optimising our health in winter.

“During the cooler months, our bodies need good quality energy to help optimise immune function and to help the body respond to the cooler temperatures. In addition to keeping you fuller for longer, nuts are an excellent source of zinc and copper which are known for helping to support your immune system,” Susie says.

“Adding a handful of nuts or a spoonful of 100% natural nut spread like Mayver’s Peanut Butter to your sweet dishes is easy, but you might be a bit stuck on how best to add nuts to your savoury winter meals. I recommend adding them to soups, curries or blending them in marinades – they’re also fantastic dish toppers.”

Mayver’s recommends enjoying these immune boosting recipes with your loved ones this season and take comfort in that wonderful, warming feeling that only comes from sharing winter meals with others.
