Competition Cancelled: Murray River Council has had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel the Moama Lights component of the Moama Lights festival, effective Thursday 6 July 2023. Due to the rising water levels in Horseshoe Lagoon the compound where the lights and sounds are generated from will likely be hit with water in the coming days. This means the equipment will need to be moved off site which will unfortunately put an end to the show.

Echuca Moama’s Horseshoe Lagoon has been transformed into a spectacular exhibition of light and sound as Moama Lights opens from now until 23rd July, taking visitors on a powerful journey through the elements of air, fire, water and earth.

Created and produced by world-class design studio Mandylights, Moama Lights 2023 is split into seven zones as it guides event-goers through an interactive story which will showcase the wonders of the earth and the beauty of the bush.

In addition to the incredible state-of-the-art installations, this year’s event also features an outdoor ice-skating rink, the American Hotel beer garden, food trucks and kids’ entertainment.

Moama Lights will run over four weekends from Thursday to Sunday, with tickets sold in sessions.

Please note this competition is open from 3rd July 2023 until 9th July 2023 and is only available to members of Mouths Of Mums. This competition is a game of skill – answer in 50 words or less. Oh wow! We’ve been to the light show at Sovereign Hill and Adventure Park, but never Moama. In fact I didn’t know it existed. Sounds like a great excuse for a Winter Camping trip (which we have never done before also). What a treat this would be!

We’ve all been sick so it would be wonderful to get out of the house and see the beauty of our local area and the amazing light display
