  • I love yoga because it makes me feel so calm and still and reminds me to be in the present moment.

  • It’s not about twisting myself into a pretzel for Instagram. For me, the physical effects are just a bonus. It’s the mindfulness aspect, the escape from the grind of daily life, the increase in dopamine and seratonin which allowed me to ditch antidepressants.

  • It makes me relax

  • A mum of 3 and a sexual assault counsellor means my head is often overloaded. Yoga is a self care practice that enables me to reset, and live without everyone else’s baggage.

  • I love yoga because it helps me to sleep. I use it’s teachings when my mind starts to race.

  • I started yoga when I was pregnant because I had a very difficult pregnancy. It really helped with my back pain and with my breathing during labour. I still do it occasionally but wish I could so it more often!

  • “Yoga is like music: the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.”

  • It is just a beautiful escape away from the background noise!

  • My own space, my own time to do my own thing, my special thing that I can do

  • Yoga is the one time of the week I can completely relax and un-wine-d. Putting on my yoga pants and going to a yoga class, followed by a glass of wine… that is my favourite moment of every the week.

  • Yoga helps me keep my crazy in check!
There is no ‘me’ in ‘busy mum’.. yoga is my own time to feel like me again. Through yoga I have learnt to speak more kindly to myself and laugh at myself when occasionally my pelvic floor fails me…

  • I haven’t tried yoga yet but would love the opportunity! I think I would benefit immensely from learning the breathing and relaxation techniques, especially in the stunning Copacabana

  • Yoga keeps me relax and fit while I’m pregnant with my first.

  • It not only relaxes and recharges your body. It can reset your mind when you are exhausted physically and mentally. Surprisingly that it also can make you lean and fit without the physical output required of other sports.

  • Just a beginner but loving the breathing and whole body movements. Can feel my body thanking me. Would be eager to learn more.

  • It helps keep me fit and flexible without the impact of high intensity workouts.

  • Life is crazy hectic and yoga makes me slow down and be mindful. I must admit, my favourite part is the meditation!

  • Yoga is basically stretching. And you feel so great and lithe after wards. The best part is that there are many levels and options, so that you can adapt to your level/experience or how you’re feeling on the day.

  • Love yoga because it’s challenging, stretches the entire body, calming, releases tension, keeps me centred, gets blood flow moving again and keeps me fit.

  • Yoga is so relaxing, helping to clear the mind, build up some flexibility and strengthen the body, both inside and out.
