Treat your family to an authentic and action-packed day-on-the-farm at Mowbray Park Farmstay. You could win a full day visit (worth $230) for 2 adults and 2 children to this wonderful working farm, where you can cuddle baby animals, feed the alpacas, ride ponies and so much more.

We recently visited Mowbray Park Farmstay, near Picton in NSW (less than 90 minutes drive from Sydney) and had an amazing time. The kids are still talking about it months later. Read all about our adventures here.

For a day visit, you will enjoy a series of supervised and self-supervised activities. The day starts at 9:00am for a 9:15am start. This is when the tractor trailer leaves our central meeting area. It will be your means of transport during the day.

You will get to visit the baby animals, feed the alpacas and donkeys and maybe even milk a cow.

Lunch is at 12:30pm and subject to the imagination of our cook! The beef comes from our farm (think BBQ, lasagne, meat pie mmmm yum!) and the farms sources local produce for salads.

After lunch there are pony rides at 1:30pm and a horse trail ride at 2:00pm (trail rides are an additional $70.00pp 8yrs and above. Minimum 4 riders).

Remember, Mowbray Park also has a variety of accommodation, so if you want to return for a longer visit you certainly can.

  • My son loves sheep and animals so I think he would enjoy if the sheep were being Shawn. He has never seen this being done before.

  • We’d do everything that was on offer!
    Lend a hand wherever needed.
Respect the land and take care where heeded.
Milk a cow or fetch a pail,
But one thing we’d do without fail,
Will be to cuddle a baby alpaca.

  • Every activity is fun and educational however if they had to chose one it would be the horse trail ride as this would be am excitin g but relaxing way to top of an all round good day.

  • Enjoying time playing & feeding the Alpacas and Donkeys. They’re our all-time family favourite animals.

  • The boy’s would absolutely love a stay at a farm

  • Definitely milking the cow,
    That would be wow!
Haven’t even had a go myself,
I’ll be like a hard working elf!

  • Pat the alpacas!! I love them, one of my favourite animals.

  • Milk the cows – I remember doing this as a child and being fascinated about the whole milking process. I’m sure my boys will be just as fascinated and excited to milk the cows

  • Feeding the animals, collecting the eggs, milking the cows, pony rides, canoeing and bush walking all of these things my hubby used to do when he was little and he can show our kids what it was like to live on a farm.

  • My kids would love the pony rides – I think I’d like milking the cow

  • Definitely a pony ride for my little one and a trail ride for my older girl, this would be amazing!

  • we would love to feed all the animals and be able to take the kids on there first pony rides and also meet some alpacas

  • We would be delighted to ride in a tractor trailer and cuddle and feed farm animals and perhaps milk cows or collect freshly laid hen eggs. First hand experiences leave a lasting impression and for city bred kids its a fantastic exposure to a whole new world of farm life.

  • Pony rides. My family love horses and ponies. My girls are absolutely obsessed with them.

  • Feeding the animals. Both my children are autistic and love animals so much. They would love this experience.

  • Feeding the animals and pony rides would be favourites as they get to interact with the different animals in a way that we don’t normally get to in suburban life.

  • With so much to do at Mowbray Park, we would immerse ourselves in ever bit but I think the highlight would be a pony ride for miss 3 (or chasing chickens if that’s an option – she tried to pat a seagull at the beach today…)

  • feed the horses and tend to the sheep

  • Our kids would love this whole experience! They love being outdoors, getting dirty & being one with nature….that’s boys for you!

  • good luck to those that enter this one
