  • Soap and water is just as good I believe.

  • Probably, but not much better than normal soap and water.

  • I was wondering the same thing the other day especially items such as dishwashing liquid. I mean all the bacteria is in the grime when the water turns dirty so don’t see how it could. I buy what is on sale now as it is too complex to think about .

  • They say 99.9% they work,we use them to protect us as much as we can.

  • Dettol handwash is good! Really interesting comments read on this!

  • The anti bacterial hand washes are great. Laundry washes that state anti bacterial…..warm water would probably work just as well. They smell nice though

  • They are over rated. Thorough Hand washing is the best scientific evidence to prevent infection spread. Use normal soap and elbow grease.

  • Without a single doubt YES!!

  • I think so especially as they use them in hospitals now

  • Anti bacterial hand washes need to be left on the hands for at least 10 seconds for it to work. So when used properly, yes.

  • New studies that are being published are saying that antibacterial soaps and dish washing liquids can lose effect as germs get used to the active ingredients in them. I guess that’s why even hospitals get super bugs that become resistant and evolve to form a newer more powerful strain. I do use them in my house but only when really needed

  • there are some good comments here

  • Yes i have also read that they shouldn’t be overused.

  • I think they do…but probably need to check out studies to know for sure

  • They work but shouldn’t be overused. I only use after preparing foods like chicken.

  • As far as I know they work perfectly fine

  • They do work pretty well but then there are germs that get used to the antibacterial soaps and become immune to it. Just trying to be clean and hygenic in the first place often helps the most.

  • Yes, they do work! Well too!

  • they use them in hospitals so I would think that is a good indicator.

  • yes they do work :)
