  • Great value!

I really enjoyed my shopping experience at my local IGA today. It’s always nice to be able to shop at a small independent supermarket that’s close to home. The parking lot was easy to get in and out and I got a spot right by the door. The store was clean and tidy with an easy to follow layout.

Many items were on sale meaning I got more for my money than planned! I was actually quite surprised by the amount of items on sale! This enabled me to buy some name brand products that are usually too expensive for me.

I also loved seeing so many local WA products (the eggs/milk/yogurt/fresh produce etc) without the expensive price tag.

All up I spent $60.80 and I feel as though I got great value for money.

It was also nice to be served at the register and offered a recycled box for my shopping.

I will definitely be back again next week!

  • Great value at IGA

I was so impressed with my local Tucker fresh IGA. Their quality of produce and Meats was next to none. The presentation of the store was also very clean and tidy and presented beautifully.

I was able to pick up so many mid week essentials and a splurge or two. Can not believe I managed to buy so much for $60! What great value!

To top the amazing experience off, I had the best Customer service experience, something I have not seen for some time. Top marks all round!

  • Fresh, Friendly and Better Value Than Expected

I visited my local IGA, Quintons in Warrandyte, and was pleasantly surprised. I’d often popped in for one or two things, but I’d always assumed a full grocery shop would be much more expensive and the range would be limited.

There were plenty of great specials, including trolleys and tables with heavily reduced items, some more than 50% off. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to buy on a $60 budget.

The fruit and vegetables may be a little more expensive than the big supermarkets, but the quality and freshness were excellent, and well worth it.

The meat section was also fantastic, with a great variety of cuts, marinades and styles I don’t often see elsewhere, and everything looked really fresh.

The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. When I asked where something was, one team member walked me straight to it rather than just pointing me in the general direction.

Overall, it was a really positive experience, and I’ll definitely be back to do more of my regular grocery shopping there.

  • Great value in so many ways

I recently popped into my local iga to pick up some pantry items I needed topping up as well as some fresh produce and meat. Iga is great value for money especially with the black and gold range they have, the produce is always fresh and tasty and the customer service is exceptional, I forgot what it was like to get served at a register! Always love a good iga shop, the value is beyond the dollar, it’s the customer service, quality of food and prices that do it for me.

  • Great value in the range of brands

Value for our family comes in the form of choices, choices to choose our brand preference, product price range and weekly deals / specials.

We were pleasantly suprised by the versatile range of products at our local IGA from home brand to those well known. I had often avoided IGA in the past expecting items to be of the same home brand, which they weren’t.

Products ranged in prices with some on the higher end and other cheaper options.

We managed to secure some everyday necessities, pack our snack bag for our upcoming holiday and even have budget leftover for a treat at the end.

We where shocked to find the viral fruit ice creams, which my son and I indulged in to finish off our lovely experience at IGA.

  • IGA - Sunday Shop

Sunday morning i bundled the kids into the car for our weekly shop! We enjoyed looking for specials & everyday low prices. The prices of IGA’s black & gold products make the dollar stretch so we were able to buy 23 products for our $60 shop! The staff are so lovely & helpful, always smiling & made me feel great about supporting our local IGA.

  • More Than I Expected From My Local IGA

I went to my local IGA mainly to find the City Larder chicken liver pâté, but I was really impressed by the rest of the store as well. They had a great range of fresh produce, quality meat and plenty of everyday staples that my whole family enjoys. I also found a few specials that were better value than I expected and picked up several products I would happily buy again. It was quick and convenient shopping locally, the staff were friendly, and it is always nice to support a local business.

  • Great Value

I was surprised by the value at my local IGA. Because it's a smaller supermarket, I found there were quite a few reduced items with a couple of days left before their use-by date. I picked up some fantastic bargains like a roast chicken for $5 and ready-made meals for around $4. I actually find it's easier to get these kinds of markdowns than at the larger supermarket chains. I also didn't realise IGA stands for Independent Grocers of Australia. I like that they are not part of a large chain. I really liked seeing products from local Yarra Valley businesses alongside the usual grocery brands. The prices and weekly specials were more competitive than I expected, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the IGA Rewards app was simple to use with clear cashback offers. Overall, it felt like great value while also supporting local businesses, and I'd definitely shop there

  • A convenient and low stimulation shopping experience

I loved not having to go into a big shopping centre, it was so easy to shop at IGA. It felt like we were in a country town while being in the middle of a busy suburb. That is value to me!

The produce was super fresh and was presented really well. The black and gold range also surprised me, I didn’t realise I could get so many affordable products.

The prices good we good and really competitive with the larger super markets which has encouraged me to keep shopping

  • SHOPPING LOCAL, SHOPPING VALUE AT IGA

I was so happy and surprised to see what $60 can get you at Laverton IGA! My favorite parts are definitely the fruit and vegetable section and the Asian grocery aisle. I picked up fresh gold kiwis for only $9 a kilo, and the quality was incredible.Their frozen section is also fantastic, stocking all the well-known brands like Inghams and Bibigo. I also managed to grab a massive bag of Panko breadcrumbs for just $8.50.To top it all off, the customer service was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when I needed assistance. Overall, I am super happy with my experience and will definitely be back!

  • Friendly IGA store + Value for money = Happy Mom

Shopping at my local friendly Finley IGA today was easy as usual. Looking for my weekly special tickets & members only tickets to get the best value for money. Some products saved me a $1.00 which makes a difference to the pocket. I think everything I brought today was on special. At at the end I was greeted with a smile and a chat and packed my groceries in a recycled box. Winning! I spent $60.70 today so it only cost me 70 cents & stuck to my list. Thank you IGA & Mouths of mums.

  • Value was better than I thought for some items

The first thing that pleased me the most was how close I was able to get a parking spot. It was about a 12m walk from my car to the entrance.

Once entering I noticed how clean and well sorted the shop and its aisles looked. Plus the lady greeted me warmly.

I did find there wasn’t many items from the Black & Gold range to choose from. That surprised me.

I bought 11 items in total and spent $65. I then worked out those items at my usual grocery store would have cost me $73! That was a surprising saving for me!

I will definitely use IGA as a quick duck in and grab on my way home from work!

  • Great value, great range and so much more than expected

I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed shopping at IGA! The store had such a great feel to it and there were so many options I didn’t expect to find.

It’s one of the few places I can reliably get my baby’s formula, which is already a huge plus for me, but I also loved the range of fresh and ready-to-eat food. There were plenty of easy dinner options, fresh produce, everyday essentials and even last-minute cakes that actually looked great!

What stood out most was that the value wasn’t just in the prices, it was in the range and convenience too. I could easily see myself popping in for one thing and walking out with dinner sorted at the same time.

I’ll definitely be returning. I was really impressed by the options, the quality and the value I found.

  • Great value for products needed

I got to shop at my local IGA and there were a huge variety of products. There were a few staples I needed to get for my pantry and also got to purchase some snacks and drinks that can only be found at IGA. The prices of items were comparable to other grocery shops.

  • IGA shop

Great value means good pricing and great quality. I value good quality over prize overall. I have discovered koko black chocolates are on the shelf’s during shopping in my local IGA. The weekly special prices are surprisingly economical and local shopping means I can escape from the two big supermarkets. And I can sometime discover other brands which are more premium.

  • Not a huge variety at this IGA in Baulkham Hills

    Whole chicken x2 $14 each

This IGA was a lot smaller than some of the others I have been to so only had a smaller amount of items. It’s a good little convenient store in the area. The customer service was great though.

There were some brands that seemed to be of better value over others such as black and gold and the Community Co brand.

I didn’t find many specials that were better than where I regularly shop unfortunately . Although some of the fresh produce was the same price which I was glad to see. I didn’t find a lot of things I was wanting that are a part of my weekly shop but has enough for a quick top up.

If you are wanting some quick options then this IGA in Baulkham Hills would be great for that !

  • Good quality and friendly service

I really enjoyed my shopping trip to IGA. For me Real Value is about being able to shop locally, find good quality products and get everything I need without spending ages walking around a huge supermarket with two young kids. The store I visited was on the smaller side so there wasn’t quite as much variety as some larger stores but I was still able to find what I needed and was really happy with the quality of the products I picked up. The staff were lovely and friendly, which definitely made the experience feel more welcoming. I also really appreciated how quick and convenient the whole shop was. It’s nice to have a local option where you can pop in, grab what you need and be on your way!

  • Affordable and convenient

I love shopping at my local IGA which is 5 minutes from home.

Its always well stocked, has great deals and specials and friendly staff who always there to help.

They have super special 3 days offer to save more money, which gets emailed to you so easy to keep track off.

As well as having their black and gold affordable label products, they also have a loyalty cashback program, where you can earn money on selected items and use towards next shop! Cant get any better than that.

  • Surprise Savings

I was excited for this shop, I had a few ideas of things I wanted to look at. They have a great variety of local food and local company products that other supermarkets don’t stock. Their Black and Gold range is number one for keeping your shop on budget. Lots of store specials surprised me too. I also like their App for cash back on products. I will be back.

  • Great Value top up Shop

A mid week top up shop with great specials meaning more for less, especially on gluten free products. We found new products we hadn’t purchased before and the pricing was really reasonable. Great local time saver. Friendly helpful staff with a variety of ready made, homemade meal options!

  • Value(d)

As a first time mum, the time I spend doing tasks needs to be minimal to ensure maximum efficiency.

Being able to quickly pop into the IGA next to my Pilates studio is one of the ways I am saving time while ticking off my to do list.

The service in an independent supermarket compared to a bigger chain is noticeable. From the friendly smiles to not having to battle with self serve.

I believe there was real value in my shop, although the amount of black and gold products available for those that want to stretch things a bit further was minimal.

As someone starting solids wirh their child, good quality products is a must. I am excited to try the peanut butter without all the usual nasties!

I always get my staples from IGA and specifically the black and gold brand. • Meat and dairy restock for $60!

At my local IGA I was able to get over 5kg of meat and dairy products for just $60!! In times like these, this type of value is what my family needs! I was able to get honey soy chicken skewers, a chicken breast bulk pack, a kilo of gravy beef, a family pack of beef mince, a block of cheese and a block of butter!! I was very surprised by the weekly specials and the everyday low prices, the 1kg of cheese was less than $10! The service at checkout was also friendly and welcoming!

  • IGA is our local grocer when we need then most

I recently had the opportunity to head into my local IGA in Mackay. This shop is located in the centre of town and as an independent store parking is a breeze, extended trading hours means racing instore at 11pm to get something you urgently need for the next day isnt a hassle and low foot traffic inside the store isnt overstimulating like the larger shopping centres.

As a busy mum of 5 kids the opportunity to shop and be able to stick within a budget and still achieve a high quality of product and brand variety (including IGA Black and Gold to well know brands like cadbury and huggies) but also good value for money with the instore specials being similar or even better than the larger grocery chains.

I was able to purchase this variety of household, baby, fresh products for my top up shop for just under $60, which in my eyes seems like great value for money and value for my family.

  • IGA Review

I had a fantastic shopping experience at my local IGA! It felt like great value because I found some quality products I’d never seen before, especially a delicious garlic sauce that I can’t wait to use for a DIY meat-box night on our next cheat night.

Shopping locally also saved me so much time, it was quick, easy to navigate, and stress-free even while shopping with my baby. The biggest surprise was the amazing range of European products. As a European, I was so excited to find ajvar, one of my pantry staples that’s impossible to find in mainstream supermarkets. I’ll definitely be back, thank you IGA!

  • Family IGA shop

I have numerous IGA stores in my area in which I don’t go to often. I find they are great for a weekly ‘ top up’ shop or to run in and get a few bits, but I do find for a full food shop I save on going to alternative grocery stores. For example products like kids yoghurt pouches are always under $1 in the alternative stores. However IGA did have alot of affordable ‘black and gold’ products.

In saying that I did find the fresh veggies and fruit good quality and great price in the IGA that I went to. I was also suprised to see the amount of ready to eat food made on the premises, we grabbed one of the rolls for lunch and it was great value/ fresh- that’s something other grocery stores do not offer.

One negative I found is there was only 1 worker on the checkouts & obviously no self service so that was a little bit of a wait due to a line.

In saying that I would still continue to go to IGA for bits and pieces or a last minute fresh lunch, but I cannot see myself doing a full weekly food shop in just the one store.

  • I have been a Purkle member for approximately 10 years. I have redeemed hundreds of dollars over that time. Once you join, you receive survey invitations via email. I probably receive one invite per week. Some surveys are 5 minutes, others 30 minutes, some hours which enable you to log in and log out to complete. Incentives vary. It does take a while to add up but if you leave the incentives untouched, they eventually add up over time. It’s my little Purple bank account I have in the background of everything else I do.

  • Tried it before and it’s definitely one of the better companies to do surveys with. They make it so easy, the website is easy to navigate and the surveys are generally not too long. It’s easy to do whilst on the couch or filling in time! Definitely worth checking out to earn some extra cash.
