Mums are currently exploring their local IGA store and telling us about the finds that are too good to keep to themselves.

This time around, they’ll be taking an especially close look at IGA Fresh Fruit & Vegetables, following IGA’s Canstar award win, and discovering just how fresh, high-quality and delicious the produce at their local store can be.

They’ll receive a $30 IGA voucher to shop in-store, then return here to share their thoughts (or spring recipes).

  • School holiday fruit top up!

    As soon as we stepped into our local IGA we noticed the fresh and delicious range of produce on offer. We immediately went to the watermelon and berries as they looked perfectly ripe and were also pleased with the bananas, lime, onions and carrots. While we were impressed with the appearance and freshness of the produce, the cost was not as competitive as I had hoped. The range was also on the smaller side but still had all the essentials. We particularly found the avocado and continental cucumber too costly and a pineapple we picked up was far more expensive than expected. The cashier service was friendly and I am overall pleased with the quality of the fruits and vegetables. I would certainly return to IGA for a quick and convenient produce top up.

  • After School Spring Smoothies!

    I'm always looking for ways to change up the after school snacks for my 4 kiddos, and having had baby number 5, just a month ago, quick, healthy, nutrient dense snacks are a must!

    We headed down to our local IGA and picked various fresh fruit and veg suitable. The items were fully ripe, large size, and really juicy! The kids all chose what they wanted in their smoothies, with the option of whole milk, coconut water, and natural yoghurt as little extras. The smoothies all turned out vibrant in colour and rich in flavour, and kept 4 tummies (plus mum and dad!) happy until a late dinner! We will definitely add IGA to our regular shopping, and wouldn't use lesser quality to feed our growing family!

  • Great range of fresh produce

    I was really impressed with the fresh range of fruits and vegetables available at IGA. Everything looked really appetising as I was walking through the fresh produce aisles, it made it hard to decide what to buy! I ended up buying fruit for a fresh fruit platter for my family to enjoy, they all loved it and everything tasted great!

  • This could become a favourite shop

    I haven't been to this IGA (Southport) before because I thought the parking would be terrible - but it was not. It was easy access in and out and close to the shop. The IGA felt like a high end food hall, really lovely produce, clean, fresh, new fittings and the member of staff who I spoke to at checkout was really helpful, helping me with the IGA app and making the voucher process easy. And OMG, the cheeses - if you like a bit of cheese, you must go there.

  • Really impressed with the quality of the fresh produce from IGA!

    Everything was incredibly fresh, vibrant and great quality. The fruit and vegetables were all in excellent condition, with beautiful colour, good size and very little blemishing or damage.

    The fruit was juicy and full of flavour, while the vegetables were fresh, crisp and tasted exactly how good-quality produce should. The oranges and apples were my personal favourites!

    Overall, I was extremely happy with the selection. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into choosing the produce at IGA, and everything looked exactly as you’d hope when buying your fruit and vegetables.

    Fresh, great quality and excellent variety. I’ll definitely be shopping at IGA for my fresh produce again!

  • Fresh and a great selection

    I found IGA to have a great selection of fruit on offer and at great prices. The fruit was fresh and delicious and easy to find. I liked the lay of the products in store and the staff were helpful and friendly

  • Fruit Salad

    My local IGA is convenient and easy to navigate.

    The fruit and vegetable section is always well stocked with plenty on offer .The fruit and vegetables are locally sourced and fresh.

    The fruit ls nicely stacked and presented no bad apples 👌.

    I purchased manly fruit with a mixture of what I like for lunch with a catchup with friends .

    The apples are shiny and crunchy,the kiwi fruit was juicy and fresh ,the mandarins were sweet and easy to peel, the bananas were nice and not woody ,I love watermelon it was juicy and seedless all priced resonobly .

  • Exceeded expectations

    We reviewed IGA fresh produce this week and were VEarY impressed.

    The range of fruits and veggies is fantastic. The freshness and taste was well worth the trip too. Being so hot lately we decided ti byy a bunch of fruits to make a fruit salad. From a price point IGA is a great pick, but the quality is what gets me. Their fruit is so so fresh and so tasty. Even laura gave her tick of approval.

  • Amazing selection and good local shop

    Iga always have a good selection of goodies and ingredients when it comes to cooking or just having easy meals to prep in less than 20 minutes. I always go here for a big shop or small whenever I need or want something! I highly recommend shopping here for yourself

  • Fruit & Veggies

    I love walking around and exploring the seasonal varieties instore at IGA. Although there wasn’t a lot of weird and exotic fruits or vegetables, the store had everything you would need to cook with or to pack a healthy fruity snack for school or work. The quality was great and the prices were ok for most things.

  • A fresh find that has made our weekly shop that little bit easier!

    I recently picked up a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables from my local IGA, including zucchini,strawberries, kiwi fruit, avocados, corn, celery, lemon and bananas, and I was really impressed with the quality.

    Everything looked fresh and vibrant, and I loved having such a good variety to choose from. The strawberries and kiwi fruit are perfect for easy snacks, while the avocado, corn and celery are great to have on hand for meals throughout the week.

    I especially love finding fresh produce that I know I’ll actually use, rather than buying something with good intentions and finding it forgotten at the back of the fridge! 😂

    The quality and freshness definitely made the produce section stand out to me, and I’ll be checking it out more closely on my future IGA shops.

    Iga review

    My experience was good though i wish there were more variety and bigger spaces. Despite this, i loved the deals i saw and the overall atmosphere, the produce seemed fresh though i didn’t see much. I always shop at my local iga and it’s always consistent and reliable to shop at

  • Great little loca

    The little local IGA at tugun is constantly improving and changing the store to improve what is being offered. We live heading down and grabbing something quick and easy from the deli section. The have really good range of pre cooked curries and salads and sandwiches to chose from. Fruit and veg section is improved as well.

  • Discovering more at IGA

    We love IGA! There’s always new products to discover at IGA that Coles and Woolworths don’t offer. I love that our local has a deli and a huge range of fresh produce to chose from as well as interesting new foods for us to always try. Each store has its own unique layout and their own range of different products to discover.

  • Amazing variety and value

    My family and I made the trip to IGA and did some wondering around and ended up finding many new drink and snack options so we turned it into a movie night! We were also surprised by all the advertising and promotional items that were on display, I quite enjoyed the added bonus to shopping. My favourite snack would have been either the chocolate mousse they make or the twisties ZigZag bag, I know you can get them at some normal shops but you have always been able to get a bag at IGA and that’s why I love shopping with them!! We shared snacks with both my family and my partners. His mum agreed that the mouse was amazing and her favourite drink was the River Port creamy soda and snack was the chocolate mousse too! My partner couldn’t pass up the mucho mango Arizona iced tea and the strawberry aero chocolate. We found that although some things they had were in other stores no one had as much variety as IGA did!

    I could go on for days about how amazing this shop was dedicating it to looking for something new and such. But the top it all off was how many deals were on as well and how cheap things were!! Definitely will continue to shop with IGA and highly recommend it to family and friends whenever asked.

  • IGA great for the mid week grocery top up

    I love my local IGA as they have all the known brands we all love, but they also have the smaller hidden gems.

    We went in today to pick up a few pantry and fridge top ups to get us through the weekend - first thing I noticed was the produce was full and fresh, the staff were restocking the shelves and there was lots of special!

    Today's fav was the Zoosh dip range that will be coming out as soon as the baby goes to bed. (I can only find Zoosh at IGA)

    Picked up the essentials, plus some snacks - but the real winner was dog food being over half price!

    Definitely coming back.

  • Amazing range of food and great service! Very impressed.

    I was so impressed by my local IGA. The range of products is something I think is unmatched to my other local supermarkets. It ranged from gourmet, healthy, dietary and I also noticed a lot of local brands. I will definitely be shopping here again.

  • Loved the international sweets and savoury food

    I recently discovered IGA has a range of international sweet and savoury food. They have lots of Italian, Maltese, Macedonian foods which I normally struggle to find elsewhere.

    They have pretty much everything from a bakery, meat to fresh fruit and vegetables plus pet food and baby supplies.

    If your ever forgetting something you can guarantee to stop in a they’ll have it.

  • Great

    The freshness of the produce is great at my local IGA in Darch WA. Everything is attractively displayed and easy to navigate. The service is always good - plenty of manned checkouts and no self service, I love the personal touch. They stock most of the brands and products that the major chains sell, but I love how they stock artisan products. Their meat is sourced locally and they have a fantastic range of fresh non commercial juices. I shop there at least once and week and I nearly always see something I’ve never seen before.

  • I have been a Purkle member for 10 years now. At the moment I have over $100 I am able to convert. Surveys can take any where from 3 minutes to 30 minutes and vary in amount you earn. It’s a great way to earn some money when you have free time. I am pretty slack at opening the emails so if I was more attentive I could have earnt a lot more.

  • I have been a Purkle member for approximately 10 years. I have redeemed hundreds of dollars over that time. Once you join, you receive survey invitations via email. I probably receive one invite per week. Some surveys are 5 minutes, others 30 minutes, some hours which enable you to log in and log out to complete. Incentives vary. It does take a while to add up but if you leave the incentives untouched, they eventually add up over time. It’s my little Purple bank account I have in the background of everything else I do.

  • I have been with Purkle for a bit but I actually haven’t seen their email a for a while. I probably should check my account online and check if my emails are going to spam as the emails are what prompts me to go online and complete the available surveys.

  • I have been with purkle for a long time on average cash in about 300 a year, it’s very easy to convert money to useable vouchers. I find it easier to just fill in whilst watching tv or something. Sometimes there are gaps with surveys but tend to save them till end of year anyway

  • I actually signed up to Purkle a few years ago and didn’t really make much money then! Its a good article though, and thanks for the reminder to log back in and do some surveys! Both my kids are at school now, so I do have some more spare time to fill!

  • I have joined purkle years ago and did make a fair bit of money back then when on mat leave doing a fair few surveys. But it has been years since I have used it so this article was a good reminder to get back on it and earn some additional money!

  • Thank you for sharing this. I hadn’t hear of Purkle! Being a single mum and only working part time means every extra dollar is handy. I enjoy doing surveys and reviews in my downtime anyway, so I might as well earn while doing it! I’ve just joined, so hopefully it will be a good experience.

  • Tried it before and it’s definitely one of the better companies to do surveys with. They make it so easy, the website is easy to navigate and the surveys are generally not too long. It’s easy to do whilst on the couch or filling in time! Definitely worth checking out to earn some extra cash.
