Hello!

My body is very sensitive to hormone changes and i go a bit crazy in my pregnancy, I know it wont last forever but everything my husband does annoys me so much. I don’t want us to hate being around each other during this special time. Any advice?

  • It’s good to explain to your husband that your body is so sensitive and that the hormones make you go crazy, that way he can understand why you’re so irritable and annoyed with him. You may need to repeat it and apologize when it happens.

  • My pregnancies were amazing times, both for myself and my oartner. I’m sure you both got through ok

  • Explain to him how you are feeling and how your body is bringing down your levels of tolerance. I find that when I explained to my hubby that “it wasn’t him but me” he was a bit more understanding with my hormonal outbursts. Try and schedule things you like doing together like going out for coffee, watching a movie etc.

  • I’m sure hubby understands that this is just your hormones & you are doing your best to control it.
Be patient with one another & try to make time for you as a couple. Watch a movie together, go out for a meal or do a jigsaw puzzle at home.
If you feel you’re beginning to get irritated take some time out, go into another room or take a short walk.

  • Patience and understanding from you and the same from hubby. That’s about it, there isn’t any more, I don’t think.

  • Totally normal I say! Hormones make us crazy. My husband joked that HE can’t last another pregnancy. Hope it worked out for you, it does get better :)

  • Apparently lots of mums go through this, if you can find the time just google the problem and read what other mums are going through and recommend, my friend found this helpful.

Best of luck and wishing you health and happiness.

  • Just bear in mind that it’s the hormones. He needs to be considerate of that and so do you, try not to go too crazy. haha

  • I think you just have to talk to him, let him know you are feeling irritable and that its not him that its EVERYTHING!! men do get ‘hormones’ I think as long as your communication is open you should be ok!

  • Make a cup of tea and some cookies, sit together and talk about the matter with relax.

  • The best thing you can do is not watch him that way you won’t get annoyed. Also think back did this annoy you before and learn to let go.

  • Let him know what is going on so that he has a better understanding of the changes you are experiencing. Maybe even give him some tips on how to handle it or suggestions of what he can do for you when you are not ‘being yourself’.
