Of course, not everyone has the time for baking, and that’s perfectly fine. Sometimes the best Halloween plan is a quick stop at IGA for a stash of treats, snacks and party goodies, then home to enjoy the fun!

    Halloween ready

IGA has a great range of products to pick frok to make easy Halloween treats. We made dirt cups. Was so simple with 3 ingredients that my 3 year old was able to help me make them. They were a massive hit with all the kids and didn't last long.

    Duck out for convenience

Headed in to my local IGA to pick up some bits and pieces to make my Halloween treats this year. Not only was the staff working fantastic and personable but the range they had made me think of all the other treats I can make in the very near future. Also, the specials for the Halloween treats at the moment is amazing and very tempting.

Quick, easy and creative food experience at IGA

IGA had plenty of affordable ingredients to make a Halloween themed snack platter for my family over the long weekend.

We were able to make a delicious sweet and savoury combo by making spider cookies from chocolate cremes biscuits and pocky legs using sprinkles we had in the cupboard for eyes and my favourite was the eyeball crackers with an easy assortment of crackers with pepperoni slices, cut up bocconcini and kalamata olives.

My local IGA was clean and bright with plenty of fresh options and pantry staples. Staff were helpful and a great friendly chat whilst checking out was lovely.

With Halloween right around the corner, I'll be back to replicate these snacks shortly!

    Easy Halloween Shopping

I found it very easy and convenient to pop into my local IGA to pick up ingredients for a Halloween inspired dinner. The store was very well organised and it was easy to find everything I needed to make ‘Mummy’ sausages and ghost cucumbers. Everything turned out perfectly and tasted delicious.

Found our halloween treat supplies at IGA

IGA made it easy and convenient to quickly pop in and grab supplies for my Halloween treats. I do find that IGA has a good range of products; however, I found IGA more expensive compared to its competitors. There were a few sales on items that I needed, but mostly I would shop around to get the best deal. The layout of the store made it easy to find the items I needed, so shopping didn't feel like a hassle.

    Spooky family fun with IGA

I had so much fun getting into the Halloween spirit by making these monster burgers with the kids. We picked up everything we needed from IGA and turned an ordinary dinner into a fun Halloween activity. It was an easy way to get the kids involved in the kitchen and they were so excited to eat something they created themselves. The burgers tasted great and dinner felt a lot more special. We really enjoyed our Halloween with IGA experience and loved that something so simple could turn into a fun family memory!

IGA Mini Black Forest Pavlovas 🎃

Wow! Not only was it super quick and easy for me to pop into IGA to get everything I needed, I even got the recipe off the IGA website!

The shop was so easy and convenient, everything was super easy to find and I was very pleased with the prices! The black and gold range for my basics like caster sugar and corn flour really save me $ at the check out! I was really happy I found this recipe, my kids loved it and I am so happy with how great they turned out! I definitely recommend dashing into IGA for your Halloween bits and pieces!

    Amplify your baking!

A quick stop at IGA on the way home and I was able to create these cute Halloween treats! IGA had a good variety of baking supplies, and I went with Betty Crocker’s iced cake mix (and made them as cupcakes!). Pinterest gave me some good ideas and IGA the great selection of products! So, using peanut butter cups I created the spiders, and sour worms with crushed Oreos for the dirt worms! They turned out pretty cute, and more importantly very yummy. The perfect treat for Halloween - it’s quick and easy, but won’t last long :) The perfect way to make baking a little more festive and fun - thanks IGA!

    Halloween Fun Snacks

Loved how easy it was to pop into my local IGA store for a quick shop for Halloween theme snacks, something that is quick and easy to put together and my daughter can have fun eating it too. I let her imagination run wild and it was great to see how much variety our local IGA had to choose from and the value it offered. we chose some bananas, bread, chocolate, sour spaghetti which would look like worms and sour strips and Oreo for spiders. We loved putting together this fun Halloween plate no-bake and no-cook plate together. Loved how my daughter was so excited to help out with the shopping and preparing these snacks. Even though things didn’t go as planned, the ghost eyes melted, spider legs didn’t stay in place, we had a fun time.

    Great gluten free range!

What I love the most about IGA is the selection and availability of gluten free products on offer. Its been a great experience to pop into my local and pick up from gluten free goodies and whip up a delicious gluten free spooky slice for under $20 means no one in my household misses out on a delicious treat.

    Tooth filled fun this Halloween

IGA had a fantastic range of Halloween treats and ingredients that made creating something fun and spooky for my kids so easy! We made hilarious tooth-filled terror cupcakes, and they were a huge hit. The cupcakes put the biggest toothy smiles on their faces! IGA had everything we needed, with plenty of great Halloween ideas to choose from.

    Halloween fun

Black & Gold pantry staples were scarily good when it came to baking for Halloween (applicable to any occasion really!) Black & Gold is so reliable, such good quality and such good value. I found it quick and easy to pop into IGA to pick up what I needed to make these brownies, though they didn't stock black food colouring which would have made them even spookier. There was a good-sized Halloween themed section already (early October) and it was there that I found these cool blood-shot candy eyes. They weren't in the normal baking section so definitely check both areas if you're looking. I spied some great specials and of course, as always, the staff are beyond nice but very down to earth and genuine as well.

IGA Halloween Rocky Road - To Die For!!!

As a frequent IGA shopper, I loved making a Halloween treat inspired by the Halloween Rocky Road recipe I found at IGA online. I did substitute a few ingredients to make it our own and you can too.

Shopping at my local IGA Kincumber is super easy. It’s less than 10 minutes from home, and while it’s a smaller supermarket, it has all the essentials I need.

The best part of shopping at IGA for Rocky Road ingredients was that there were a few items on special, including Allen’s Snakes Alive, Frogs Alive and Dairy Milk Chocolate.

The kids had a blast making the Halloween Rocky Road and an even better time eating it afterwards! It was to DIE for!!!

I love being able to shop local and support one of the smaller supermarkets in our community.

    Thanks, IGA, for the inspiration!

🧠 Spooky Brain - Our Halloween IGA challenge 🎃

I was given an IGA voucher through Mouths of Mums and had to come up with something fun for Halloween.

I decided to make a brain dip 🧠😂 I grabbed the ingredients from IGA, then found a brain mould on Amazon which was delivered within 24 hours.

Added some corn chips, veggies and creepy eyeballs and this was the end result!

The kids thought it was hilarious (and a little gross 😂) and it was actually really easy to put together.

Such a fun little Halloween activity!

    Great

Love my local IGA. They’ve changed owners and rebranded to Tuckers IGA so hopefully they still are good. They’ve kept most of their staff who are super friendly. I was able to purchase all the baking supplies I need to make sweet treats for Halloween. A huge range of confectionery which is also a huge plus.

Epic Halloween dessert - thanks IGA!

IGA to the rescue again! Time to start preparing for our friend’s Halloween party where we need to bring a plate. So I headed off to IGA to see what goodies I could find to whip up something spooky! A box of brownie mix, eggs and butter, plus a sprinkle of icing powder - and look at this! A spooky spider web brownie! IGA is so convenient and cheap and never lets me down. Thank you for saving Halloween IGA!!

    An easy Halloween shop

I did my shop at my new local store, IGA Redan, and the store is huge! It had everything I need to make some fun Halloween treats. The store is clean with a wide range of products at affordable prices. The fresh produce section had a fresh variety of fruits and a vast range that I haven’t seen at my other local supermarkets. I made a dessert with mango, cream and biscuit, and I added some sour worms to give it that spooky element. All ingredients were easy to locate in-store and were within my $20 budget that I was able to buy other ingredients to make a second dessert. Overall staff are friendly, it’s a clean store and I’m very happy with my shop!

IGA has it all, as always!

It was so simple and convenient to pop into my local IGA. I’m so grateful I can walk there in about 10 minutes. No fuel and it gets my step up. There was plenty of products to choose from, and as always, the Home Brand products were a hit for me. These products are always competitively priced and great quality. I made a delicious pumpkin, ‘feta ghosts’ and salmon nourish bowl so that the pumpkin flesh didn’t go to waste when we made our Halloween pumpkin carvings. So delicious and nutritious! I also got some tasty sweets for the trick or treaters!

IGA for the win this Halloween 🎃

As usual IGA didn’t disappoint with options for Halloween. From pumpkins for carving, lollies for trick or treaters, & ingredients for home made snacks. I opted to grab a few goodies to make a halloween theme snack plate.

    🦇🧁 Bat treats

Ready made choc chip muffins with oreos for the wings (attached with Aunt Betty’s choc icing mix), mini marshmallows for the eyes & pupils drawns with an edible pen I had at home

    👻🍓 Ghostly berries

White choc dipped strawberries with an edible pen to draw eyes and mouth

    👻🍌 Boo-nanas

White choc dipped bananas cut in half with an edible pen to draw eyes and mouth

These were all delicious with the the ability to change out for your preferred flavours from the range at IGA. Easy to make with your older kids and a baby in tow so there’s no excuses.

It was super convenient to pop into my local IGA to purchase items for my cyborg cheesecake stuffed cookies. IGA stocked "most" of the ingredients I needed for the recipe but not all. • It is interesting to read how many of you guys actually have such positive experiences with earning some extra money through Purkle. So far I have not signed up and I must admit that I am hesitant, because one of the things I do not like doing at all is surveys !

  • If you haven’t already signed up for Purkle, what are you waiting for?? Do it!! It’s so easy to do, and it is really rewarding. I regularly get surveys, almost daily, and it takes no time at all to gain enough to cash out a gift card. It’s been great for splurging.

  • I have been a Purkle member for 10 years now. At the moment I have over $100 I am able to convert. Surveys can take any where from 3 minutes to 30 minutes and vary in amount you earn. It’s a great way to earn some money when you have free time. I am pretty slack at opening the emails so if I was more attentive I could have earnt a lot more.

  • I have been a Purkle member for approximately 10 years. I have redeemed hundreds of dollars over that time. Once you join, you receive survey invitations via email. I probably receive one invite per week. Some surveys are 5 minutes, others 30 minutes, some hours which enable you to log in and log out to complete. Incentives vary. It does take a while to add up but if you leave the incentives untouched, they eventually add up over time. It’s my little Purple bank account I have in the background of everything else I do.

  • I have been with Purkle for a bit but I actually haven’t seen their email a for a while. I probably should check my account online and check if my emails are going to spam as the emails are what prompts me to go online and complete the available surveys.

  • I have been with purkle for a long time on average cash in about 300 a year, it’s very easy to convert money to useable vouchers. I find it easier to just fill in whilst watching tv or something. Sometimes there are gaps with surveys but tend to save them till end of year anyway

  • I actually signed up to Purkle a few years ago and didn’t really make much money then! Its a good article though, and thanks for the reminder to log back in and do some surveys! Both my kids are at school now, so I do have some more spare time to fill!

  • Thank you for sharing this. I hadn’t hear of Purkle! Being a single mum and only working part time means every extra dollar is handy. I enjoy doing surveys and reviews in my downtime anyway, so I might as well earn while doing it! I’ve just joined, so hopefully it will be a good experience.

  • Tried it before and it’s definitely one of the better companies to do surveys with. They make it so easy, the website is easy to navigate and the surveys are generally not too long. It’s easy to do whilst on the couch or filling in time! Definitely worth checking out to earn some extra cash.
