Hello!

My toddler has been good at eating and is addicted to soup of all kinds and her wafers. Then there will be times that she won’t eat anything and spits food out – even if it’s her favorite food. Is that normal for her to have good appetite one day and then have none at all the next?

  • I’m exactly the same and they do say that famine days (days with restricted kjs) are good for us. Generally we eat more than we need anyway.

  • Yeah, my 2,5 year old does very difficult at times. I just leave her as she has other days she mostly enjoys her food.

  • yeah my daughter is like that
it just depends on her mood for the day
i think it depends on how stimulated she was that day, if things were too much for her, she doesnt want to eat

  • It’s normal for some kids so don’t worry about it, they tend to be so busy learning new things that food is just not something they want to stop for. They seem to go through stages where food is more important than other times but they always come back to it and generally stock up when they are hungry. You would only need to worry if she stopped eating all the time or stopped eating any healthy food and stopped growing.

  • I agree with ESTATE WANDERER kids are fickle so long as they are drinking Milk and Water and not dehydrated and there water works are fine then don’t force feed. Have regular checkup’s at the doctor or clinic for weight and height. Make sure the child get’s enough sleep and exercise and is happy that’s all you can ask for. Happy days!

  • Yes I think it’s normal, some days hungry some days not, no child dies from being a fussy eater :)
