Have you tried hydrogen peroxide ?

I didn’t post the question but am grateful for the suggestions for my own carpet.

Have you tried Bi-carb soda yet? Try making a paste with water and the bi-carb, spread it on the stain and press it in and leave it for a while then rub off with damp cloth…

Mix a little bit of nappi. San with. Water an scrub .Should get dark stain out.

I swear by Listerine (the original), it also deodorises.

Might sound strange, but try baby wipes. Good luck!

I tried all the commercial products and the only thing that did any good was Nappy San. I made up a fairly thick solution and spread it over the stain and rubbed it in. Left it overnight and then removed it with a damp cloth. You’ll never believe this but the stain was caused by my dog eating a black snake and then bringing it up on the carpet, and yes, the stain has almost disappeared!

I’ve used the Vanish Oxy Action too and it worked well for our carpets.

I find the Vanish Preen Oxi Action Carpet Stain Remover works wonders on any stains. I have used it on light coloured carpets as well as darker coloured carpets and it has gotten the stains out equally well.
