Hello!

Hi, I would love recommendations for outdoor play equipment (cubbies, trampolines, swing sets, slides, etc) for toddlers and primary aged children. Are there items that are played with more than others? Are there any items that aren’t played with much? Thanks.

  • I’m keen to know this too! Tossing up a trampoline or cubby for our 1&2 year olds

  • We have a swing set (with swing, slide, climbing ladder, seesaw and basketball hoop) a trampoline, a balance beam, a cubby house and a climbing frame. All are used well on and off.

  • A swing set was great for us, and also a small plastic climbing frame/ house.

  • I’ve got our daughter this climbing frame from big w for Christmas. Judging by how she likes to climb everything I think she will love it

  • Trampoline is grear

  • My daughter didn’t play with any of the usual play equipment, but she loved playing with her netball and netball hoop.

  • Vuly trampoline, Step2 cub house are my kids favourite.

  • tampoline, sand pit and a cubby (our big dog kennel doubled as a cubby)
also, we had a big box filled with cricket, footy and fun outdoor stuff, oh, and bikes xxx

  • a trampoline is a must and a swing set with a regular swing and a hanging bar swing thing (i think they are called trapeze)
the slide was played with tons when kid was younger but not any more (at 7) although nephew who is still a toddler loves it.
and a cubby house/tree fort will be used until the kids are grown up. even as teenagers they use them for space away from family.

  • The cubby house got the most use at our place

  • We had a trampoline that the kids loved, but we are thinking cubby house or fort next as there are so many options – slide off it, swings set attached, climbing walls, etc..

  • There’s an adjustable basketball hoop by Little Tikes (approx $60 online incl delivery) which is suitable for toddlers upwards & can be adjusted in height according to the age of your children. I’m going to get one for our toddler as it looks awesome & the whole family can play together!

  • My children had a tramp but didn’t like it too much, but they love the swing set.

  • We got the kids a trampoline they have so much fun

  • A cubby is great as it involves imaginary play and the kids seem to be able to ‘imagine’ for hours!

  • Costco have great cubbies and play sets.

  • I have a 7 yr old and 3 yr old twins.
We have a trampoline and a huge swing set with a slide and seesaw on it.
    We are adding a sandpit
I think those are the best three things to have

  • I have both toddlers and primary aged kids, mine love the trampoline, swings and slides but only get to use them if they have behaved and done their chores. My toddler loves the trampoline too.
We are in the process of building our cubby house ourselves and the boys love it – family project. And once done they will have sleep over in it as I did when I was a kid
