Hello!

In the last couple days my daughter has got a rash, it’s spotty and red behind the rash it has spread all over her face, neck and a little on the chest. We have been told it’s baby acne, any remedies to help the rash go away, or creams to put so the skin doesnt look as dry.

  • Sounds more like a heat rash. Have you tried cornflour? Use like talcum powder to dry up any moisture.

  • Might need to see a doctor to check ?The doctor can prescribe cream to help with rash. Hope your daughter feeld better:)

  • I would definitely get it looked at by your MCHM or doctor

  • Something natural or organic to sooth, moogoo is a good brand

  • Don’t use products containing any perfumes or harsh chemicals.

  • ? How old is your daughter? if you are breastfeeding it may be a reaction to something you have eaten going into your milk. I am only saying this because of a case I know. Have you changed the laundry product you are using at all? Could there be a slight difference, even ratio of ingredients of a product you are on / for your baby at all?? I know a baby who had bad reactions to the extent that the Mum carried the empty container and checked ingredients/ ratios of products she used. As an adult the girl now has to do exactly the same thing every time she buys some skin products, especially sunscreen.

  • A little coconut oil would help soothe it. If you’re breastfeeding, try putting breastmilk on it – that stuff is a miracle worker!!

  • I would really consult the GP before applying anything. There are Topical creams GP may prescribe depending how bad it is and long it lasts for. There’s not much you can do to treat baby acne, apart from waiting for the hormones to leave the body. In fact, some treatments can even dry and inflame the skin, making things worse.

  • I have fou d for nearly any raah my baby has sudo cream helps.

Maybe try coconut oil to help with the dryness of the skin.

Everything is different for each baby so i hope you find aomethjng tbat helps!

  • I am a big natural advocate! Have a look into Eco by Sonya – Their body milk is all natural and has proven to get rid of rashes etc.

  • I use Nutri-rich oil on my daughter it’s from Nutrimetics. If I don’t have that I use Aveeno.

  • My concerns as well ..hope all is ok now.

  • i hope that you got it checked out and it was all ok! it should be starting to clear up by now if it isn’t serious

  • my son was the rash king of babies – we tried everything. the only thing that worked was QV Cream – not lotion but the thick jar of stuff. They have an ointment out now too which is awesome

  • find out what it is? how old is bub? try dermaveen

  • Sounds like eczema, get medical help will be the most stress-less way.

  • I think they all get it and it passes quickly. Any rash I use the press test – it you press it and it goes normal skin colour it’s nothing serious ie not meningococcal. I like moo goo or dermaveen brand products for moisturiser for babies

  • I would have it checked. I actually have found vasoline to be really good.

  • I used Curash on my kids & I still use it on the grandkids as it is soothing & heals rashes quickly.
