My eldest had this and my youngest has it chronic.
* First of all I think it’s important to make sure the liquid intake is enough
* Offer plenty of fiber from fresh fruit & vegetables
* Refrain from certain foods (like banana, white bread, processed foods)
* Make sure there’s enough exercise
* Clock wise massage of the belly
* Consult Gp for advice and when necessary referral to Gastroenterologist
* We use for my youngest Osmolax daily, together with soaked prunes and a good pro-biotic

Try a rewards chart, let her see you poop and as gross as it is show her, tell her it’s a good thing, colocxl (probably miss spelt), prune juice, or a small amount of brown sugar in water/bottle, bicycle legs help too good luck

My daughter has suffered chronic constipation for 6 years and we have done everything . She is always well hydrated, she eats healthy food, exercises etc. We have tried all sorts of management and been to Gastroenterologists etc. She has had movicol, parachoc and different probiotics such as inner health. My daughter has suffered chronic constipation for 6 years. We have tried everything from diet, water, apperients, moviol, parachoc , probiotics etc and nothing seemed to work – until now. We are using a new pro biotic and for the first time she has been regular for the past 4 months.

Yep like mom169700 suggested : make sure they are well hydrated and add some prunes to the diet. Natural and easy to start with. Best of luck to you both. 🙂

A little bit of brown sugar in warm water worked for my grandson. She might need it more then once depending on how constipated she is. A spoonful of extra virgin olive oil is good too

Constipation at any age is sometime caused by dehydration. Make sure your toddler drinks plenty of plain water throughout the day.
Other than that, stew up some seedless prunes in water. Tasty and full of fibre.
