Hello!

Hi there, any suggestions for a 3 year olds birthday?, we have already had a party but we like to do a family thing on her actual day, as its a weekday this year and is scheduled for thunderstorms, so anything indoors suitable for toddlers out there?? thank you

  • Fill a whole room up with balloons! Kids love balloons. Hours of fun right there…Also bubbles, playdough and obviously playing with whatever birthday gifts they got. To be honest kids don’t really mind what you play with them so long as you play with them…:)

  • Our son recently turned 3 and we did a small batman themed party for him. Same situation the weather turned bad so we had the kids get into costume and they played for ages even set up little games up inside

  • Just noticed this was posted a while ago. I hope all went well.

  • When the weather is nice I always think playgrounds, picnics and bbq’s are nice.
But when the weather isn’t cooperating, indoor play centers like lolipops orso are great. I’ve also done very simple birthday parties at home with a puppet show, making a craft, design your own t-shirt, make your own pizza, bake your own cookies, etc It can be very simple.

  • Is there a fun centre near by? One that has climbing frames / slides / ball pits etc. They usually have a cafe area for parents to chat and have coffee etc whilst the kids play

  • Great! There really interesting comments on this!

  • Maybe try and organise somewhere with a bit of undercover

  • We have plaster fun house in Adelaide where kids can paint plaster money boxes, jewellery boxes, statues etc. My kids love it

  • Dress up party – we have done fave characters, you can do Disney, superheroes that type of thing. google party games – best one I have seen lately was a donut eating competition where you tie donuts on low hanging strings and the kids have to try to eat them with hands behind their back! Have fun!

  • Indoor party sounds great!

  • There are lots of indoor play centres around and the kids always have a ball!

  • there are some good comments here

  • What sort of party did you end up having?

  • swim centre, movies, indoor play centre

  • What did you end up doing for the party?

  • I agree that play centres are a good idea.

  • How did the party go?

  • What did you end up doing?

  • Play centres are great if you need an inside venue.

  • How did your family thing go?
