Board games – you’d be surprised how much fun these can be, and there’s a huge range.

My neighbour has 4 kids ages 21, 18, 15, 12. They’re all still living at home and do sports (football, water hockey), bush walking camping trips, playing in a band together and going on trips with the band, dance parties at home, visiting markets and lovely wee towns and so on.

Kayaking or bush walking. Tree top adventures, rock climbing. If they have a friend tag along they may enjoy it more

Check out MoMs for great craft suggestions. It all depends on what they’re into. Are they sporty, nerdy, outgoing? Bit hard to answer without more info

Depends what they would like to do. Are they active, do they like sports or would they prefer to stay home and read.
Ask them what they want to do and then do it even if it is not something that would normally interest you.

i really like LIZZYG’s suggestion of menu planning or just one meal, shopping cooking etc. great idea. we used to do this on holiday.

Going on a camping trip allowing them to invite one or two friends to go along with you. A trip to the beach! laser tag or skirmish, Fun parks, a day out at the markets or attending a sporting game that they’re into like Football etc..

dependant on age: I would suggest they make a menu for a week and do up a shopping list for ingredients and with your food budget let them loose in the supermarket to shop for the family meals they have chosen, cooking cleaning up and shopping also prepares them for a future whereby they don’t rely on pre packaged foods,
If they are arty and handy with their hands, start teaching them rug making, or even make new place mats for friends and family. colour coding and theming the place mats is a wonderful way of teaching and sharing a hobby, Who knows it might be a very profitable thing as they can create individual sets for family and friends, tutorials can be found on line.

A few suggestions:
1. A project at home-Painting or re-decorating bedrooms.
2. A new sporting activity-Kids vs parents.
3. Camping-new destinations.

I don’t know where you live but my lot love challenges like Tree Tops Adventure Parks there are a few of these in NSW. You are harnessed and you climb through courses of different levels encouraging each other as you go. Learning different skills from a Sports and Recreation offer family camps things like Archery and over night bush walking tours with a guide. Like in Mt Kosciusko national Park. We like to hire a boat and go fishing on the Hawkesbury River. You could hire a River House Boat for a few days, swim, fish and camp at the riverbanks. We all enjoyed a day out at white water rafting in Penrith NSW. That was a great family bonding sport. We have done this a couple of times since. You could sign your teenagers up for surfing lessons or even yachting or sailing course. Sailing Clubs offer FREE try out days look them up on the internet. Buy them fishing rods and fishing gear and head out to a fishing spot. If they like this you might book a deep sea fishing day for the family. A project at home you might like a Wood Fire Oven buy one you have to build yourself. Maybe a fish pond or build you raised garden boxes and plant a veggie patch. Hope these idea help.
