  • I’d love to know the answer to this as well!

  • I tried drafting, used old contacts to get work.

  • I’m definetly going to be following this thread. With 4 kids I would live to find work from home. I looked into it a couple years ago and all I found were too good to be true and sounded like scams.

  • I’m hoping to work from home next year. I was thinking of doing a book keeping course.

  • Good question and following the answers.

  • some interesting answers

  • Nutrimetics is great and sells itself. Products works and are great for you not made in China and not animal tested like some well known brands. Go to http://www.nutrimetics.com.au/tracybaker to join up even if you just want stuff for yourself you join up you get discount on your products.

  • think of the services that you can provide, basically anything that you can do now. ppl pay others to shop, cook, clean, wash, iron etc. some of this, you can be flexible about and do from home

  • Consider starting up a party plan plan business. There are so many available now with no or low start up costs. You take your products to peoples homes to demonstrate them and collect a commission on what you sell. The biggest advantage I have found that it is now my social life and I make money doing it! I meet so many people and enjoy a chat, coffee and cake and it is helping me to get over being shy. I was hesitant at first but now I can’t recommend it enough and I really enjoy the extra bit of money each week.

  • Thanks for the tip Chezj.

  • I would love to work from home. Would be so handy with my daughter having autism and all her appointments

  • eBay is a good start. Sell your excess belongings online. In time u be able to get the feel of what sells or not. Then u can branch out in that area. Good luck in your endeavours.

  • I’m not really sure but I’d love to know., as I have 4 kids an I love to do work from home..

  • You could try selling for a company such as Avon, which pretty much sells itself. Give catalogues to friends, family, neighbours etc and they choose items they wish to purchase. Another way is to look at what skills you have and you can use those skills to start making money. For example: graphic designer could do freelance work such as invites, a baker could make cakes etc

  • Sorry I am not a lot of help but my only suggestion would be to try ironing. Best of Luck.

  • I too would like some kind of a job from home. Maybe answering afterhours calls for a small business or doing some kind of document typing/admin work that I can do from home. I am just worried that most of these jobs are scams. I don’t want to sell things, because I’m no good at that. If you find anything decent, please let me know.

  • Hi – I joined Phoenix Trading – selling stationery, gifts, cards and giftwrap. I can work at my own pace and during school hours – it is flexible and you don’t have to meet quotas. It works as a great online store and you can set up an in home store or go to a market. My daughter loves it because I get to stay home and she ‘helps’ me and it helps with those extra bills that sometimes take us by surprise. If you would like to hear more, I would be happy to chat. I also have an advertisement in the MoM’s directory. Happy to help. Good luck and I wish you well. xox

  • I do ironing from home. I just do it when the baby has his nap and at nights. I have a wagon so I also do a pickup/delivery service with it. I charge $30 per flat basket and do 2-4 baskets a week. So it’s not a lot of money but it’s a bit of pocket money with no outlay, just my time.

  • It depends on your skills – a lot of work from home jobs are scams, so be careful. You may be able to find a job like freelance writing, but I don’t think you’re going to make much money working from home.

  • I have a friend who works for ENJO when she first started she mainly did evening parties and weekends but now the kids are at school she just does it in school hours with the odd evening party.
She said the product sells itself really and the money is really good.
