Hello!

My little one has just started showing interest in solids. I have tried purée but she tends to better enjoy holding foods herself and having that control. I would love to know more about baby led weaning if anyone has any good information sources. Thank you.

  • Hello Mommy:) You may refer to Solid starts site on Instagram. It will really help you with baby led weaning as well as information on different food, when to give, how to cut it, nutritional information. I would definitely recommend you to try this one:)

  • I got a tool from the chemist, it is mesh with a handle to hold. The mesh means that big chunks can’t get through, but bub can munch on bits of fruit and veg safely.

  • Great timing for this question, so thanks for asking and thanks for those who commented

  • Just follow baby’s needs. I found it quite easy. The more solids they had, the less breast they wanted

  • Starting Solids Australia Facebook group is great. It is very active with lots of parents posting daily and sharing advice

  • I love the Solid Starts website and I reference it regularly. I like that they utilize research and provide a few free guides as well. It’s great to look up individual food and how to give it to babies based on age.
