Hello!

I’m going camping next week and would really love a good book to read there’s so many to choose from! Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Anything by Michael Connelly. I read all his books and have never been disappointed.

  • I recently read The Natural Way of Things by Charlotte Wood. It was totally engrossing for me. I got through it in two days.

  • Where the Dead Go by Sarah Bailey – I was lucky enough to get it through MOM rewards and it was a great read!

  • Handmaids tale

  • Scott Pape “The Barefoot Investor”. Funny, easy to read and just stacked with great, staunchly independent financial advice.

  • I’ve just finished a nice book by Mary Higgins Clark: “All by myself, alone”. If you love mystery and crime books. :-)

  • “Two by two” by Nicholas Sparks was quite a good read indeed.
If you haven’t read it yet, try Jodie Picoult’s “Small Great Things”. It was amazing!

  • Nicholas Sparks is a good author l would suggest!

  • The question marks were meant to be smiley faces lol!

  • Lots of great ideas, I now have a list of books I want to read! Thanks everyone????

  • I love to choose books written by Aussie writers when I go camping as you can sit outside and read and get a good feel for Australia and some of the landscapes. I always choose recent releases from the library – well worth looking into – enjoy!

  • I like Jodi Piccoult’s books, she’s a great writer. But depends all on what genre you like to read yourself.

  • hi there , I would recommend any of Rachael Johns , or Lesley Pearse , Karly Lane and Fiona McCallum books good reading cheers Sharon

  • I have heard that the book Lion by Saroo Brierly is great. Its based on a true story and also a movie now I believe. I’m about to start it. :)

  • It honestly depends on the genre your into.
I love the supernatural kinda stuff so a nice grown up one of them is the lizzy and diesel mystery series by Janet Evanovich the first one is called “wicked appetite”

For more of an adventure story I would recommend “Mathew Reilly” he has quite a few to choose from “the tournament” is very much down to earth, VERY grown up or the is the “the Great Zoo of China” it has dragons!

For something sexy and ridiculous try a laurell k hamilton book, you will either love or hate her books. She has 2 series, “merry gentry” think dark fairies, monsters, detective work and a lot of sex. Then there is “anita blake” vampires, werewolves, were-everything, magic, police work and more sex than you can poke a stick at.

  • The Bronze Horseman, anything by Nora Roberts

  • Jodi Piccoult is just brilliant. I have nearly all her books and have enjoyed every one of them

  • Diana Gabaldon is a beaut author. She has written the Outlander series. I think there is currently 8 books in the series. Once you start reading you don’t want to put the book down.

  • I love my teenagers books … because they combine action/adventure with great characters, don’t have the boring swearing and sex scenes that ‘adult’ books think is necessary. I liked the Divergent series, the Hunger Games and the Spooks series…. although I could see the ‘limitations’ of the story for adults they were still a great, interesting, easy read that filled the time nicely… and they were in a series!
