Hello!

My 5 year old son has a Samsung tablet and we are keen to find some free or mega cheap apps to put on there for him and would appreciate any suggestions (many good apps are only for Apple ipads). Thanks in advance.

  • Little Speller, Rocket Speller, Hungry Fish, Penguin Maths, Sentence Reading Magic.

  • We started off with interactive books, its great that you have introduced him to a tablet at an early age, there is a reason they do ipad inductions at schools! no one will ever let it replace parental interaction but it is a great way to expand your child’s learning platform.

  • My kids love an app called Minion Rush.

  • Computer literacy is great but please don’t let your son spend his precious hours tapping on buttons. Make sure you stay involved with what he’s doing and remember that books and reading to your child are equally as important.

  • Thank you so much to everyone who took time to help answer my question and so pleased a couple of other mums found this useful as well :)
