Hello!

I’ve just got an iPad an was wanting to know of some good app suggestions for my kids and I… as I’m just new to this ‘app’ thing. What apps would you suggest?

  • Reading Eggs have some wonderful learning apps for children. Spelling, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, sight words, telling time, etc.

    Also Fisher Price has fantastic ones for babies and toddlers. :)

  • There is a waltz Disney app you can get, my daughter loves it on her nanny iPad, learn to read, sing, colour-in, do puzzles etc.

  • there is an App called ‘App of the day’ its a free app that directs you to a daily free App that usually can cost anywhere from 99c to $10! its great its always something new and innovative and for all age groups too; one day it may be free toddler apps the next some fishing app for dads! I’ve picked up some real winners :)

  • You have been give some very useful answers. Generally I just go to the App Store and search under the heading I’m after and you can find an array of apps both free and not free.

  • There are so many so it depends if you are after educational apps or some just for fun.an app I have for my kids is furby boom I have 9yr old boy and 7yr old girl and they both love it and it was free.lots of apps are free but some use internet(something I just found out)Itype in their age and boy or girl and it will come up with age appropriate games.


  • There are a couple of Playschool apps out that are fantastic for kids. My nearly 4 year old daughter also loves Awesome Eats. It’s one where you have to sort the fruit and vegies on a conveyer belt. It is great for their coordination and also teaches them about the different types of produce.
