I told very close friends and family pretty much straight away. Everyone else I waited until the 12 week mark.

I waited till I got the all clear after the first trimester to tell friends and extended family.

We waited till 12 weeks, though with my third there was one friend I told early (due mostly to the circumstances around a particular event). To be honest, if I had my time over, I would probably tell people earlier than I did.

I told immediate family as soon as I knew and I told friends at three months.

After 1st trimester with all pregnancies.

Immediate family straight away, you’re going to be bursting to tell someone your good news!
Other family & friends wait the 12 weeks.
Then you can announce your good news with a ultrasound photo 🙂

I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks with my first baby and told everyone the good news straight away. Miscarriage or something going wrong was not a consideration of mine back then. The second one we didn’t tell anyone til I was more that 4 months along. I think 12 weeks is the ‘safe’ period, should be good after that

Mum knew early and close family, but friends, I announced in Facebook at 20 weeks.

12wk+ for family, gradually over time with friends, 20wks the first one with work (under law you need to give at least 10wks notice to employers but depends where you work).

A lot tell their own parents but Mum’s the word until 12 week scan etc. If you have morning sickness people will get suspicious. If you are so sick that you have to have days of work you may have to tell your boss sooner so they make allowances for the extra time you need to take off. Depending on your working hours and travelling, you may need to take time off for appts.

First pregnancy I told everyone at 7-8 weeks, sadly I miscarried at 11.5weeks. 🙁 second inwaited until after 12 weeks and with the third we also waited and announce it after 12 weeks.

First pregnancy was 12 weeks (after the scan). Second was about 13 weeks and 3rd was 15 weeks.

I was sick too so my family knew straight away. I took more convincing myself after many home pregnancy tests & test at doctors I still didn’t think they were right. Everyone else were told at 12 weeks.

I was super sick and we lived with in laws… So day 1 for close family. Selected close friends about 8 weeks but the rest of the world 12-13 weeks. I wanted a few people to know incase anything happened and we wanted support… But most people I tried to delay. I assume congrats 🙂

I told my mum and sister when I was about 8 weeks and the rest of the family at about 11 weeks. Friends and work at about 12/13 weeks.
