Is there a small removable section in the middle of yours? Anything that looks like it might slide out? My son was given one with a removable section that you use to trap ants with something they’re attracted to e.g sugar. Once the ants go in you slot it back into the farm to trap them. If unable to do that then check with a large pet store chain as they should be able to help you but obviously free ants would be great!

What a shame! My son got an ant farm one Christmas, they are fascinating to watch. We are lucky and have suitable ones around our home

My kids caught Meat ants… the big ones!!

Pet shops/superstores sell them. Might be good but careful of age that they don’t knock it over etc.

I was thinking of getting my son an ant farm also but I didn’t know you had to buy special ants for it. I thought you just got the ants from the garden. I don’t think I’ll get him one now.
