There are lots of places around that specialise in selling different little chocolates, maybe you could find one that make chocolate babies and you could make up ‘favours’ for the prizes in nice little bassinets or cute boxes.
Don’t do mugs- everyone seems to think they are the perfect small gift but you end up with a million of them that you won’t use.
I actually went to a baby shower that gave away some jelly makers as prizes and thought that was pretty cool, although I must say I’ve only used it once.
I think chocolates are best because at least then you can eat them or even take them home for your kids.
You can get some fun, cheap novelty things on eBay. Maybe some baby knick knacks, some items for the home or I like the idea of a photo frame where they can put a picture of the baby in.
I think maybe a small empty photo frame with a little message saying that it can be filled with a gorgeous baby photo after your little bundle of joy arrives? That way it keeps with the baby theme, is easy and inexpensive and is also practical.
I had a mix of candles which looked great and were cheap from kmart. I also gave out chocolates and body lotions. I do like the idea of possibly giving childs toys (rubber ducky) to add a bit of fun into it
I would suggest something beauty related nail polish, bath salts, nice smelling skin cream, hair products etc. Or a little hamper with nibbles and a non alocholic bottle a grape juice( incase the winner is pregnant). Or some puzzle books, with a pencil and eraser.
