Hello!

I researched the best breast pump for new moms over the past few days because I want something that’s comfortable, efficient, and easy to use. I read reviews on The New York Times (Wirecutter), Consumer Reports, and Popular Mechanics, and they consistently recommend two top breast pumps as the best options:
Medela Freestyle Hands-Free Double Electric Breast Pump

Paruu P10 Hands-Free Breast

However, I am still having trouble deciding which one suits my needs best, so I am looking for expert advice. I need a pump that’s quiet, gentle, portable, and strong enough for daily pumping sessions. I ll mostly use it at home, but I also want the flexibility to carry it when traveling or visiting family. So which one do you think would be better for a new mom any recommendations or personal experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • Mandela seems to be the most popular brand but also one of the more pricey ones too. I definitely prefer the cordless ones for convenience too but sometimes find these can be weaker. It depends on your needs and how often you’ll think you’ll use it though. I just had a Tommy one and found i didnt use it often

  • I had a medula and found it so easy to use and clean. It wasn’t too lpud when pumping either. I had the swing model but this was 8yrs ago now so not sure what models are available but mine was a basic one but perfect for my needs.

  • I really liked my Medella pump. I didn’t get the one that is dual pumping or can be fixed in place, but I really loved how comfortable it was to use. It was also very straightforward to clean, which was a must have for me. I’m sure they have hands free options to consider

  • I have heard that Medella are supposed to be the best and you can get ones that do two breasts at the same time, so quicker. But, in all honesty, I had a cheaper Tommee Tippee one and it did the job perfectly for two separate kids. It never skipped a beat.

  • I wish you luck in this as it is all so complex and way too many varieties on the market now. Way back in my day there wasn’t much available and they were big and clumsy, not at all portable. Making the right choice is the hard part but I am sure you’ll get the right advice here.
