Hello!

Wondering if anyone has some recommendations for a dishwasher?

Was considering looking at the Fisher and Paykel double drawer because apparently you can choose to use either one or two drawers, depending on the load. The downside and trade off is that they are expensive. On the upside when we move we would be able to take it with us as we are not putting into any sort of alcove, it will be a standalone thing due to space restrictions.

  • I’ve had a Smeg for 3 plus years and its going strong

  • Westinghouse – We have the model with a cutlery drawer. It’s fantastic!

  • I did a lot of research before deciding on a Bosch Serie 6 dishwasher. It cost $1281 on sale and suited my budget. It is quiet, versatile, practical, and durable. The best feature is that you don’t need to open it up to dry. You do need to unpack the bottom rack first though and I rinse the filter often as a precaution.

  • Bosch SMS46GI02A dishwasher hands down! We purchased this one from The Good Guys for $644 on sale with VIP night added extra 10% off. It is 4 star energy rating, 4 star water rating, and overall 4.4 star review rating. It is ultra-quiet when turned on and doesn’t leave fingerprints on doors (kiddies come at it haha). Washes dishes perfectly every time and leaves them feeling dry to the touch after each wash. Highly recommend.

  • We swear by ASKO. Had one for 10 years in our old apartment and when we sold the apartment it still looked and worked as if brand new. When we bought our current house we changed the existing one with an ASKO and 2 years later, still going well and absolutely no issues. They are a bit expensive but considering their longevity they are definitely worth it.

  • We love our Beko, over time we have upgraded all our appliances to this brand had no issues, even when we broke a plastic draw on our freezer they sent a new one right away free of charge. They have a standalone dishwasher range but unsure about dual draws.

  • We have a Smeg, I’m really happy with it.

  • I can’t really advice you cause even though we have a dishwasher we never use it !

  • Good luck. I don’t have one so I don’t even know what is good now.

  • Having stand alone drawers is useful in our office dishwasher so would be helpful at home too

  • My mum! She recently came to stay and did all my washing up, God bless her

  • I’ve got a double drawer Fisher & Paykel, and it is amazing. I could not go back to another type of dishwasher now. I find that it helps to keep me more organised because I wash as I go and don’t end up with a huge pile of dishes that need to be stacked, or a huge pile that need to be put away.
