Hello!

My husband and I are taking 5 weeks off this summer and want to start organising our family holiday now except we don’t know where would be best to go with our two year old (only child). We would love somewhere beachy and tropical and a kids club would be great so we can have one or two days of adult time but I’m finding most resorts kids clubs don’t cater for two year olds. We are open to destinations within Australia or overseas (but preferably close like Fiji etc).

  • A two year old will have fun and enjoy anywhere as long as mum and dad are with them

  • we are looking into our honeymoon atm and have found that Hamilton Island, daydream Island, The Whitsundays seem to have some fantastic resort hotels with kids club etc and Flight centre also have some great deals for there.

The other thing would be try http://www.travelwithkidz.com.au as they are a travel company that specialises in family holidays and they come to you at home rather than going to a store

  • Paradise Resort would be your best bet on the Gold Coast- and it does have a kids club for babies. Novotel Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast also caters for two years olds in its kids club. Fiji would be another great option, but I think it is their wet season during our summer. Thailand might be a better bet for more stable weather and many places have kids clubs for children of all ages. You can have a look at my website for some reviews – http://www.familyfriendlyaccommodation.com.au/thailand Good luck.

  • My kids loved going to Queensland they actually most enjoyed the pool area at our hotel and my youngest was 14months at the time. My then 4yr old loved Movie World.. But for something more relaxing try Hamilton Island

  • I was thinking of something along the line of a cruise

  • I have heard that the Paradise Resort in Queensland is GREAT. They have rooms that are designed for kids (murals etc) as well as Kids Clubs and other activities and they are also close to all the popular attractions (Sea World, Dream World, Water World etc). They often have specials on accommodation packages and if you are going to the attractions save money on the entry fee using your State’s local Car Rescue Service Card (RAA/NRMA etc). Have fun!!

  • If you can afford it, Daydream Island in the Whitsundays is great – very family friendly, a kids club which took our son when he was 2 years old, and wonderfully relaxing for parents.

  • We loved hawaii. So clean, friendly and relaxing. Otherwise a cruise is an amazing cheaper alternative that has a wonderful kids club and activities to do.
