Hello!

Okay mums I am having huge issues with finding the best mop for my tiled floors. Every lol I have tried spin steam wringer and microfibre ones have left steak marks or patterns on my floors or have broken and I am at my wits ends. I have tried hot water with metho, hot water by itself and with floor cleaner in the water I have also mopped one way then mopped again going another way. I need your help mums and show me what you all recommend please 🙏

  • I’ve reviewed a couple of different mops for MoM and would recommend them both. Take a look at the reviews for Vileda mops. I’ve found them really good – they don’t leave much water behind, the floor doesn’t get streaky, and they’re very easy to use. I suggest you try them.

  • Mopped my tiles today and highly recommend using the Vileda PACS floor cleaning tablets. They smell so lovely and lift dirt and grime really well. I have quite glossy, bright white tiles and they look sparkling once clean. I use a Vileda mop with them. The scent lingers for a while too which is nice

  • I have struggled with this too. Thank you for asking and all the comments. Looks like I will be trying a Vileda spin mop.

  • I love using the Sabco mops that have a scourer on the head. It’s very useful when something is a bit stuck down and you need to have a bit of a scrub. They are a little harder to find now, but you can still buy them at Bunnings as well as the replacement parts.

  • We have tiled floors too! We use the Vileda mop and bucket that seems to work well. We found that by using hot water instead of cold, it’s less likely to leave streaks. Our steam mop was just a chore that we ended up throwing it out. Inbetween mops, we’ll use a spray type mop that has the bottle attachment that works great

  • When I clean my floors I find the best way to get streak free floors is to open the doors, use warm water and I clean the floors quickly which aides with quick and streak free drying of all the floors in our house. I do not use a lot of product and this helps with streak free floors too.

  • I agree with many of the comments already posted below about Vivelda products for cleaning floors. I find the mops and products are easy to use on my floors and they are sturdy and lasting products. I managed to buy the products for a good price which was a big bonus.

  • I have a Vileda mop and bucket and it works well for me with white glossy tiles and dark grout. My sister just splashed out for the Tineco Floor One S6. She is expensive but looks absolutely lush. Definitely worth considering if you own your home, it’s on my future wants list now!

  • I am also going to say the Vileda Spin Mop. Vileda products are all good and regularly to be found on special in the supermarkets or Big W etc.

  • I second the Vileda easy spin mop & bucket. By using this bucket and mop you are not dipping your mop head into dirty water and the roller is taking off the dirt and dirty water from the mop head as you work, therefor making your job easier and the flooring cleaner as you go, I would definitely recommend this mop to anyone.

  • I highly recommend the Vileda easy Spin mop and bucket. I’ve had mine for about a year now and it’s fantastic! Also I just had a look and they are on special at the moment at Mitre 10 for $33, it’s usually like $50 I think. Does a great job at wringing and mopping.
