Hello!

We have collected so many “things” what are some ideas for birthday presents? I’m thinking more expensive and fewer presents if that makes sense!

  • If she is allowed to wear make-up, I think booking her in for a make-up lesson at Mecca or Sephora would be an amazing gift for that age as she can also redeem the booking amount for product on the day. Mecca also does facial services and the cost of the service is fully redeemable on product the day of the appointment.

  • I actually really love “experiences” especially for kids that have a lot of stuff. Concerts or stage shows with dinner or gold class movies or have a look at adrenaline or one of those sites for more ideas.

  • Is she into reading? I used to love receiving books at Christmas/Birthday time.

  • I just ordered a very expensive sensitive beanbag for my 13 yr old

  • A small fridge for their room makes a nice gift too :)

  • A nice handbag. Not a huge one but one where it’s for any of us (ie not a little girls type of one). I remember getting one for my birthday when I was around that age and I though it was fantastic and I loved it.

  • If you’re wanting a ‘thing’, that’s the sort of age where she can care for something a little better so maybe a significant piece of jewellery. Bracelet, necklace, earrings. Something to keep forever and pass down to her kids as something she got from her parents as a girl. Also could consider maybe a shopping experience to help her consider what her style is as she moves into the teen years, personal shopping style sessions can be quite affordable.

  • I would get a voucher for an activity like iplay or bowling or even a nail voucher if she was into that kind of stuff

  • Experiences like Movie Tickets, manicures, stage shows.

  • I agree with meedee that the gift of experience can be a great gift. It can even be a weekend away, a special day out with family or friends, something what you usually don’t do.
Alternatively clothing, shoes, a piece of furniture for their rooms or a music instrument are here always a big hit

  • Perhaps a book or other gift card so she can choose herself?

  • Perhaps instead of things go for special experiences.
Hot Air Balloon rides, Whale watching, spa dates with Mum, Ask grandparents to gift her gift cards for shopping and then gift her a trip away with Mum and/or Dad for a weekend shopping spree in another State…airfares and hotel stay. A glamping weekend.
