  • Unless you have older kids at the party, first birthday parties are not about the one-year old, it is a milestone for the parents. So have a barbecue with adult food and drink and some balloons and cupcake(s) for baby. Take lots of photos.

  • I find childrens party is always the easiest and they can play in the park as well . Some of what I did in the past were, 100’s and 1000’s sprinkles on bread, cocktail frankfurts with variety of sauces normally tomato, mixed salad , chips, dips and crackers , carrot , celery sticks etc .

  • Chips.
    Fairy Bread.
    Cupcakes.
    Mini Muffins.
    Honey Joys.
    Coconut Balls.
    Jellies.
    Brownies.
    Cold Meat Sandwiches.
    Mini Pizzas.
    Mini Kebabs.
    Weenie Dogs.

Best of luck & Happy Birthday to your wee one.

  • Fairy bread

  • Small pizza’s! Mini muffins, coconut chips…

  • Melon balls in several varieties areaways a hit. Mini wraps, fairy bread in star shapes etc.

  • We are a healthy house so we don’t do junk food at birthday parties but for out last birthday which was at a park as well we did the following things
Fruit kebabs, muffin size quiches ( still tasted good at room temp), apple zucchini and carrots muffins, banana bread, chicken and ham sandwiches, celery and carrot sticks with dip, vege chips and lentil crisps

  • fruit kebabs ( on straws), little sandwiches and maybe some kabana/cheese and dips :)

  • A colourful fruit platter, cupcakes and fairy bread. Chips are always a favourite for the older kids.

  • Pop corn, fruit sticks, fairy bread and butterfly cakes!

  • fruit platter, plain popped popcorn, fruit juice poppers all teh fun stuff

  • If there’s going to be a good number of people there, buying food from Costco is great. The ready to eat stuff!

  • bbq’s are always good – i think everyone likes them

  • sandwiches, frankfurts with sauce, cold pizza slices as well as some lollies and dips and biscuits

  • I’d suggest a bbq and have cupcakes, lollies, chips, dips etc hun.

  • Well i take it that there will be children of all ages and a lot of adults.
If the park has BBQ’s available then sausages in bread are a great.
You can cook up party pies and sausage rolls and then pack them in foil trays and wrap in teatowels…they will stay hot for ages.
Sandwiches, sliced fresh fruit, veggie platters
Sliced Pizza, savory muffins, bacon and egg pie served cold
    Salads

  • Fairy bread, cupcakes, face biscuits, chips, lollies Vegemite sandwiches cut into animal shapes, carrots sticks, celery sticks , dip etc all easy to transport all easy to eat and pre-papare

  • I would make some savoury scrolls like cheese and ham or vegemite, sausage rolls, a fruit platter some fairy bread and maybe a sausage sizzle.

  • a sausage sizzle at the park always goes off well and is relatively cheap

  • Cant go past home made sauage rolls, still delious if cold. Otherwise simple sandwiches some vegemite ones for the kids. Fruit platter.
