Hello!

I have been using a video tape I bought more years ago than I care to admit. But we don’t have a VHS player set up anymore. I can’t find it on DVD so I am looking for something new that comes recommended! I would like one with the basic yoga poses, nothing too advanced. Any help would be great! Thanks x

  • I second Denise Austen otherwise try Blogalaties or yoga on youtube

  • There are lots of yoga classes on Youtube. Maybe you could try some of them and see which instructor you prefer.

  • I have a Denise Austen yoga workout. I was a bit sore when I first started, it woke up muscles I had forgotten, but the poses are pretty easy and basic

  • I’d use Youtube to view a few yoga routines to find a yoga instructor that you like.

  • Although they are not new, I love Louise Soloman. She is Australian. The moves are not too difficult. There is no music in the background but she has a really soothing voice. I used her DVDs to regain my flexibility and strength last year and after 3 weeks of yoga every day for 20-30 minutes, I felt so much better!

  • Denise Austin dies a great yoga series DVDs. I have her fat burning one, love it. It deals with holding the poses, fat burning and core strength. You can do the whole DVD at one time, or as 3 separate workouts.

  • Local health stores often sell good DVD’s too.

  • Thanks for your answers! I will have a play around on you tube and see what I can find. Getting my VHS transferred to dvd is a good idea, I might consider it if I can’t find anything else.

  • Try YouTube before you go and buy something, there are plenty of clips to be found there, also if your yoga VCR was something you really enjoyed then maybe get it transferred to DVD?

  • Youtube have some great yoga sessions with all different levels

  • I use ashTanga yoga celebrity yoga it’s nothing flash but it’s great I do it in my lounge room three times a week
