I can honestly say I don’t see why I would go for a brand name, when the Black and Gold alternative is as good as, or in my opinion better, than that far more expensive alternative.
This condensed milk is sweet, but not overly or chemically so like other brands sometimes are. It worked beautifully in my cake! I also made some ice cream with the other half. This is my great new find!

I recently started making ice cream at home and sweetened condensed milk is a great ingredient for that. Black and gold is a great sweetened condensed milk and I use it regularly and always make sure to have at least 2 cans in the pantry on hand for any cooking needs I have.

This was the binding Ingredient for a fun Easter fudge. The product is a good size and a fraction of the cost of a branded version. Absolutely no difference in taste, texture or colour (we did a small taste test !!) I most definitely will be purchasing this product again. Thankyou !

I was quite surprised with this condensed milk actually. It was sweet but also nice and creamy, it could easily pass for a more expensive branded condensed milk. It was so affordable and easy to use in an recipe. Love the taste and I will be buying this one for future recipes.

I bought condensed milk as part of my review for mouths of mums. I used it for my base. Delicious, sweet and creamy and the cost was very affordable. Just as good as branded condensed milk. I would highly recommend having this as part of your pantry staples, if you are looking to save on your grocery bill.

The black and gold sweetened condensed milk is the perfect addition to our delicious truffles that my girls and I make especially during the school holidays. This sweetened condensed milk is great! I love that it has a pull open lid so there’s no need for a can opener. So convenient. The flavour and consistency are exactly what you want from condensed milk. We use it for coffee and for making sweet treats and it works perfectly. It’s a great price and surprisingly good quality for a cheaper brand.

A favourite dessert of mine to make is a caramel slice, and this sweetened condensed milk was a fabulous addition to my recipe. It was easy to cook with and tasted wonderful. The can is filled with lashings of the indulgent, thick condensed milk and the size of the can is the perfect amount for my recipes.

This was so easy to use with the lemon slice and chocolate coconut balls that I made. It was easy to pour out of the tin and mixed with the other ingredients I was using. It tasted exactly as I expected and had the right consistency for making the lemon slice and coconut balls. This will become a staple in my pantry and a product I’ll use regularly.

I honestly can’t believe that I can get a can of exactly the same quality as the expensive brand name competitors for so little money! I never would have thought to have tried this brand of condensed milk. I am absolutely stoked and consider me converted! I used the condensed milk to make my usual lemon slice that I pack for recess or arvo snack and let me tell you, it’s never tasted better!

I think the super budget looking labels of Black & Gold products make me think they’re going to be low quality, so I was very surprised by how good the sweetened condensed milk was. I’ve tried other home brand condensed milk and they were kind of gritty and awful. The Black & Gold condensed milk was smooth and creamy and I honestly couldn’t fault it. Has a handy ring pull top so no need to get a can opener all sticky. I wouldn’t be ashamed to serve something made with this condensed milk. I made chocolate bailey’s balls and they turned out perfectly

I didn’t expect this condensed milk to be so good, especially for the price. It’s sweet, creamy and worked perfectly in desserts I made at home. Honestly, it tastes just as nice as some of the more expensive brands. I’ll definitely keep buying it for my baking.

It is also a great option for baking and deserts. Taste is very similar to other brands, and I would definitely purchase again.
