Can anyone recommend safe computer games?

I have 8 and 6 year old girls. We are looking for computer game websites that are fun, free (or almost) and safe (for little eyes and won’t load junk on my computer). They don’t need to be educational (we have plenty of those) but if they are that’s good too. They don’t get much game time but we have had a few problems with the one site they do like and I need a plan b. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

If your daughter’s have a favourite tv show, you might be able to find games on that show’s website.

I don’t know if any pc games are called “safe ” but I know a lot of them have ratings . My son bought himself a rated R game over xmas and I was against it even though his father said it was OK. Just don’t like the idea of him and others killing people even though its a game . Perhaps I am old fashioned , don’t know ….

You can buy cheap games, as discs, that you load onto your computer. With these you can see what the games are, put them onto your computer and not worry about the Internet

Moshi Monsters has an educational element, as well as games and social networking with other kids. Good for primary school age, and the site sensors messages sent for inappropriate words and spelling errors. My kids used it to talk to their class friends and their cousins. I wouldn’t let them friend anyone I didn’t know, and that introduced cyber safety talks with them.

My kids love Club Penguin, ABC 4 kids, Cool Maths Games and Disney Junior/Disney Channel games. These are all safe and specifically designed for children.

My boys love the ABC4Kids, Cool Maths Games and Club Penguin. We have never had any problems with these and are good for all ages

My granddaughter loves to play Barbie games online & Frozen (Elsa & Anna) games online.

Myself and my family have been using Big Fish Games for seven years now and they are a wonderful and safe game website with all kinds of fun games for the whole family. I recommend them highly and suggest you go check them out. I’m sure your girls will love all the choices available
