Carpet cleaner recommendations - Mouths of Mums

Hello!

Does anyone have an at home carpet cleaner they love? Or one you wouldn’t buy again? In the market for one I can use for rugs and our carpeted bedrooms and would love some opinions. Too many strawberry and crayon stains to hand scrub.
We have a Tineco floor cleaner that I love so I’m considering their carpet cleaner.

  • I just bought a Shark CarpetXpert Deep Carpet Cleaner with Built-In StainStriker on recommendation from a friend. Wow my stairs and carpet mats and our fabric chairs and arm-chairs look like new! I am enjoying using this machine as is my grown children they have cleaned their own bedroom carpets and also the upholstery in their cars. I can not wait for my turn to do my car this weekend. I bought mine on special and with the discount I bought three more bottles of both solutions. What a bargain!

  • My emails are listening, the day after I posted this I received an email deal for Bissel machines haha. I’ll have to have a squiz in store at their line, and what the Kirby is!
And love the no carpet for you, Ellen! If I didn’t have young kids I’d rip it all out and not worry about it at all.

  • For years I borrowed my parents Kirby vacuum cleaner because it has an amazing carpet shampoo attachment. Now we have a bissel carpet shampooer which we purchased from good guys. It’s not near as expensive as my parents Kirby but it works great. It has a suction bit at the front and it’s soooo therapeutic to watch the dirty water get sucked up on certain spots. It’s super easy to fill with water and empty the dirty water tank. Ours is a few years old now but still works great. I think it was a pet hair power force one.

  • Strange, I just posted a lengthy comment and no comment is to be seen ?
I can’t advise you on a carpets cleaner as such, but in the past I owned a steam cleaner which I also used for my carpets. My steam cleaner broke down after 20+ years and I no longer have carpets in the house.
I liked my steam cleaner as it was easy to use for all kind of objects and surfices like couches and chairs, mattresses and pillows, floor and wall tiles, windows, pet cages, concrete and carpets
