Hello!

With Christmas nearly upon us this year I have made the decision only to buy for my 2 daughter and grandson as money is tight but am unsure of what to buy them I dont want to spend too much

  • Think of what your daughters would like and what they are into. I got a beauty voucher last year and had a fabulous facial and massage and it was better than any ‘thing’ I could’ve been given, but everyone is different. Something that might be out of reach for them or they wouldn’t think to buy themselves (within whatever your budget is)

  • For your daughters, consider something thoughtful like a handmade coupon book offering things like a home-cooked meal, a day out together, or a movie night. It’s personal and meaningful without breaking the bank! For your grandson, you could look for something educational yet fun, like a craft kit or a book that sparks his imagination. Even a family game for some fun together could be a hit! Remember, it’s the thought that counts, and your love will shine through no matter what you choose.

  • Kmart and Amazon are my go to for presents. Usually fairly cheap options that are really nice for people. Candles, home ware, a nice vase with some flowers. Also if you hop online at KMart they have a lot of things reduced on clearance. Or you could do a box of chocolates or lollies for the kids and a gift card.

  • Kmart has lots of affordable toys

  • I sign up to Flybuys and Everyday Rewards to save the points accumulated and transfer into $ for Christmas Shopping. It helps so much for that stressful holiday season.
Depending on ages and interests, there are great shops like TKMaxx that will have great brands at great prices.
Target and Big W will often do sales on and off before Christmas. Both stores will have a clearance area where unexpected goodies can be found.
If your grandson is under 4 years old, Fisher Price Little People are a big hit!

  • It is always a good idea to keep an eye out for sales and for discounts. I am currently finding a lot of items in stores on special and have purchased for Christmas bags. I also like to buy gifts from fetes and markets which there always seem to be when the weather is warmer.

  • I think that seems like a sensible plan and I’m sure the family will understand. There are heaps of options that you could consider for gifts. I like to use Temu sometimes as they have lots of little gifts that make good stocking stuffers and you often find something that you hadn’t thought of.
You could also consider an experience. People love receiving that type of gift and it reduces clutter.

  • I always love to buy Christmas gift bags and fill them up with goodies throughout the year. It is actually fun to find items for each person that they will like to receive. When I come across items during a shop or being out; I purchase and add to the bags. Everyone is thrilled to received a bag full of goodies. A bag full of goodies can be adjusted according to budget.

  • Depending on the age of your grandson there are some excellent fun things at Kmart at the moment. Great play kitchen pieces, the water fountain table is $17 and looks really fun, a water play table. Something that can encourage some imaginative play outdoors and make the most of summer (maybe a cute hat, too). How old are your daughter’s? If adults you can always find some cute and inexpensive items at tkmaxx, like hand bags and beauty products.
