I volunteered a couple of times in the classroom but found that my daughter got too distracted by me being there so I stopped haha

Our local school never had these. We had parent volunteers for the canteen and for sports days and occasionally for excursions, and that was it

i have volunteered a few hours here or there to help with activities and i have my younger ones so it has gotten a bit harder to help out.

No, I didn’t. I thought it was too much for me. Generally we had at least 2 class parents in primary school, sometimes 3.

I did it for a bit. It’s good to be at school with the kids,meeting what they do, how they are. Not something I could do long term

I helped out at pre-school for the day and it was exhausting. When my daughter started school I chose the easier option and helped out at the canteen instead.
