Hello!

Cloudy glasses in dishwasher… HELP!! Why are my glasses cloudy when they come out of the dishwasher? I have cleaned the filter but it doesn’t make any difference and it’s really annoying – I have heard various things help such as rinse aid but don’t know what is best and more importantly why it happens. Please let me know if you have any tips or have found any products that help it go away. Thanks.

  • vinegar!
i have 50/50 vinegar/water in a spray bottle and i give everything in the dishwasher a quick spray before i turn it on… i still use a tablet but i use a cheap/homebrand tablet mainly just for the scent… the vinegar does 90% of the cleaning and i never have cloudy glasses…

  • Finish dishwashing tablets are good. Rinse aid can help as well!

  • Make sure your filter is always clean and scrubbed out and add vinegar to the rinsde aid part of the dishwasher.

  • Try Nu-Finish dishwasher tablets, that will work!!

  • Cloudy glasses usually come from not using rinse aid.

  • I use cheap rinse aid and it works

  • there are some good comments here

  • Try using a dish washer cleaner to clean the dishwasher itself & vinegar along with Rinse aid for a better clean.

  • I use rinse aid, my dishwasher comes on with a red light knowing ive ran out.

  • Rinse Aide is the key to shiny dishes and gleaming glasses. If this is not happening call your dishwasher company and ask for service advice. I would try a tablet with the rinse-aide included. At some stage it must have worked properly. What has changed? Has someone flicked the switch where you pour the rinse aide in? You could try rinsing the dishwasher with CLR.

  • Some good advice there below.

  • I hope you found something that worked – how annoying!

  • I use a powder (not tablet) detergent, hardly use rinse aid and don’t have this problem. Maybe try a new powder/tablet and see if there is any difference.

  • what did you end up using?

  • Hope you managed to find solution to your problem

  • What did you end up using?

  • clean your dishwasher and make sure you use finish rinse aid to make it shine better.

  • other than thoroughly cleaning dishwasher, trying a new brand of dishwashing tablet/cleaner and using rinse aid i would be stumped.

  • Try a dishwasher cleaner, and also more rinseaid.

  • maybe you need to clean it
