Hello!

We have had some really hot weather lately and I’m thinking it will continue to Christmas, we’re having a lot of people over this year & I dont want to be stuck cooking a hot lunch that wont get eaten anyway so I’m looking for some great cold dishes that will be sure to make an impact! What do you recommend for Cold Christmas lunch ideas? Thanks!

  • Cold ham and salads yummoooo

  • Fruit platters, cheese platters, lovely rustic breads and crackers, home baked spinach bread, beautiful salads, boiled eggs, stuffed avocados, stuffed veggies, beautiful roast nuts etc

  • We start with fruit/cheese/snack platters then for mains we pretty much always do cold meats and salads.. Turkey, ham, chicken and pork plus a large mix of different salads. Kind of like a buffet where everyone can have what they like. Same with desserts, We do three different kinds and people pick and choose or often have all three. lol

  • I’m coming to this post a bit late, but I would have suggested ham and a seafood platter, together with different types of salad.

  • Yum! Salads salads and more salads. So many different salads out and about these days, not just tomato lettuce and cucumber. Desserts are too easy…..Pavlodar, trifles, chocolate ripple cake. Endless list. Good luck wish I was coming

  • How did you go with cold Christmas lunch?

  • Cold christmas lunches are what we do most years! Cold hams, smoked chicken, fresh oysters, cold cooked prawns with some stunning high impact salads! And the upside is you can’t really overindulge!

  • Cold cuts of roasted meats and ham and extra special salads.

  • Just a small idea: boil some eggs and fill them with a mix of tuna and mayonnaise. Some capers on top. Store in the fridge.
You could also serve skewers with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella.
