I found gently applying organic coconut oil about ten. minutes before her bath worked really well, and then warm water, shampoo, and a gentle combing helped remove the cradle cap. It might take a few applications, but it works really well and is quite nourishing for the scalp as well!

My daughter used to get cradle cap all the time so i used coconut oil which was great. Also , i used castor oil and jojoba oil on it. She had cradlecap until she was about 3 and then it just went. I don’t think there’s anything out there that will get rid of it permanently though. But they do grow outt of it.

I have to second the Moo Goo product recommendation. It worked wonders for us when our son was a baby. I also used the b.box baby bath brush. It’s very gentle and was great at bath time to remove some build up. Using both products together gave us really fast results

Even when treated correctly, cradle cap can reoccur indeed. This is most likely because the glands keep making too much sebum (which is a fatty substance) for a few months. If this happens, just repeat the treatment.
I have good experience with more natural products which you most likely have at home. You can use olive oil, coconut oil, vaseline, Aloe vera and even breast milk ! Most of these you can do daily. Just leave it on for a while and then wash off.
