We have noticed in our region in QLD that there are many advertised on Facebook for giveaway or super cheap in comparison to buying online. Well worth a look on there if you are hoping to save some $$s.
And….we fitted it out with a working door bell, letterbox, retractable clothesline (it went from the fence to the cubby). A whiteboard is good to have inside so that they can draw on that rather than all over the walls. Once our kids got bigger the cubby became a clubhouse.
We just got our cubby from Bunnings, I love it so much. Plenty of room for growth and you can paint and decorate it any way you please. It was the Numbat cubby for $249. It has a little side bench seat and mailbox and all. I am so stoked with it & its quality esp for that price!
I got a cubby house for my daughter and she can hardly fit in it now so make sure it’s big enough to last a few years otherwise it becomes an expensive present
Whatever you get make sure it is tall enough as they age. Our kids used theirs for many years and even had sleep outs in it. I can’t help with suggestions though as ours was home built.
Never had a cubby; we always use tents for outdoor fun areas. Good skill set for children; learning to put them up and care for them. Good luck with your search for a cubby.
