No, I didn’t have a baby shower for any of my kids, I think I was just too busy for my first and then it didn’t feel right to do it for the rest but I do think they are a sweet idea if you want to.

No I never had a baby shower.

I had a Baby Shower for my first baby but not for my second, although I’ve been to plenty of showers for second, third & even forth bubs. I think they’re a nice excuse to get together and hang out so happy to go along

I’m having a Sip and See instead. Never liked baby showers so refused to have my own. I don’t like attention, so when the baby is out all the attention will be on her instead. Plus it can be a lot more casual and chill (less preparation).

No and I’ve had 3 babies

Yep my sister and mum held one for me I was spoilt

We had a baby shower/bbq, we invited all our friends and family (girls and boys) to celebrate, eat great food and play some games. It was lots of fun and I liked it being non traditional but a little part of me wished a girlfriend would have organised an all girls celebration!

I had one for my second but not my first if i have another bub i would have one again was very fun and a great chance to catch up with friends and family before bubs born

No baby shower, would have liked to also but no time. If I had the time still not sure if I would, I’m very conscious about family and friends buying gifts for the shower then for the arrival etc. it can be expensive for others

I didn’t have one for any of my 3 kids. Wasn’t really interested.

I had a baby shower with my first but not with my second. It seemed a bit rude to ask people to buy gifts again.

yeah it can be really fun. it is great when your sister or mum organises it for you

I had one for bub1 but not for bub2 & won’t for bub3, it just didn’t feel right to have more than one.

yEP i ACTUALLY HAD TWO FOR MY FIRST WITH SEPARATE GROUPS OF FRIENDS/FAMILY. i DIDN’T HAVE ONE FOR MY SECOND.

No i was pregnant with my twin girls and decided i didn’t want a baby shower. I find the expectation put on guests to baby showers i had been to really high, and the gift wish lists appalling. Baby showers in the past were about getting together and having fun, and a small gift was given so you had something to start with. Now i find it is about what people can get from friends and family. Then when the baby is born the expectation is there again. I decided i didn’t want this and opted not to have a baby shower. I was told by a few people at my work “your crazy , your having twins ,” and i informed them yes i am, and they are my cost not someone elses and you don’t have a baby shower for the presents.

No with my first kid i went into labour at 24 weeks so it was never even thought of. I dont know if i would of had one or not if i didnt have bubs early. With the next child i went into labour at 24 weeks so again it never happened. And with the third and fourth child i had evrything i needed so there was really no need for one.

I did only with first. It was really gu and good girls day.

My sister threw me one for my 1st. I won’t have one for my 2nd. It was a great opportunity to catch up with my girlfriends before bub arrived.

I like going to baby showers because it is an opportunity for the mum to be to catch up with everyone before the arrival of the baby and to spend time with friends and family. The presents have always been a minor thing and it has really been about having a good time with some laughs before life gets busy with a baby!
